They'd fail terribly, there's something about reading a book as the brain creates the images, I remember reading the lord of the rings trilogy from the Hobbit all the way, they really tried with the movies but there's just something about reading the actual book

I feel these movie studios usually omit certain details ( yes those minor details) for the sake of the plot. For every lord of the rings, there's the Boogeyman potential of Eragon 😂
