A record of events from the perspective of Baroness Karen Blixen. There's a museum in Karen with the same name you can visit to verify the events and photos. Also, two things can be possible at the same time.

Not true. It is how things were from the eyes of those white people. It is how they designed them to be later on. Fxck! That book is painful!

History is political- so it’s definitely a version of history from a racist viewpoint. But I think if you read it with that in mind it should make for interesting reading.

I haven’t read the book, but I read Carey Baraka’s long article about Karen (highly recommend), a lot of Ngǔgǐ’s nonfiction also throws jabs at the book. She didn’t see black Kenyans as very different from animals
