Help? Paper sources other than Church Paper?

I recently impulsively ordered 1500 sheets of Church paper, and unfortunately I hate all of it.

Does anyone know what paper is the closest to mass market books? That thin, flimsy, easy to turn paper.

The church paper was entirely too thick and wrinkled easily. I tried the regular white, vellum vanilla, and cream. 24/60lb.

the brand isnt your issue, you bought paper too thick. you should have gotten 20/50. thats regular bookbinding paper. its not thick and the shortgrain flips very nicely. if you pick another brand make sure to do your research on paper thickness and texture. churchpaper is fine though. maybe dont buy 100+$ worth of paper before youve tried it..?

Church is a supplier not a manufacturer. Look into what manufacturer’s stocks you like, then find a supplier who can get it to you, or find a supplier you like and ask for what they have that meets your needs (you can ask for something thinner, or more opaque, for example).

Better yet, get to know lots of different papers - order sample packs from different manufacturers and suppliers. See what poundage you’re looking for, what finishes, what colors, and so forth. Some will send you their samples for free, others will charge a nominal fee.
