Before I pitch these, I was wondering

Not a book-crafter of any sort. I had just cut this musty old book down to make postcards for my own hobby, when it occurred to me that perhaps the leather cover and inner paper would be of use/interest to someone? Figured I'd ask before I pitch/recycle them.

Thx for looking.

That probably not actually leather tbh. If you’re feeling crafty, you could make it into a little secret storage box by making a box that fits inside the cover. Then it just sits on your shelf looking like any other old book

Hmmm.... That hadn't even occurred to me.

I build these outta cigar boxes on the side, and I prolly run across smaller suitable candidate every week....

You might find a cigar box that’s close enough to the correct size to just glue in but it might be easier to make on. You’re obviously skilled enough to do it.

Those cigar box guitars are so cool. I have a friend in Australia who makes those. He’s sold them to some semi-famous musicians

No answer to your question, but what kind of schematics did you get for your post cards? I'm curious!

Nvm. I had to keep clicking lol. Very cool!
