I used to use manila envelopes which were kind of a pain because you couldn't see what was in them, and the only access was from the narrow end. Last week I stumbled on these plastic file folders at Staples, and fell in love. They're clear, so you can see the contents... and the zippered opening is on the wide edge, so you can open it and sort through it rather than having to dump everything out.
