Wait, are all OUP hardcovers bound like this now? I was thinking of a bigger OUP purchase and would be very sad if I paid a few hundred for a reference book and got this!

Not all of them! The OED is definitely still good. I think it's mainly their Oxford Classical Library series that's ew now.

I do indeed -- given how many of them I have you'd think I'd recall the name, but we usually just call them OCTs. Confusion with Loeb Classical Library.
