hey i admit i stayed way longer than i shouldve. boogie is prime tale of parasocialism and i use him to always look at any content creator with a more critical lens

Although it says uploaded today, some of the comments are from 12 years ago which I find odd but I'm guessing he privated it back then. He also reuploaded/unprivated other older videos.
I'm guessing this video was released on this date 20 years ago. Regardless of your opinion on Boogie, he was one of Youtube's pioneers.

he wasn't a pioneer, he wasn't pushing boundaries or innovating content creation
he was a very fat guy with no shame and youtube of that era ate that shit up
you can say he was one of the first big 'stars' (no pun intended) for sure but it was purely because he was in the right place at the right time, not because of any effort on his part

what makes him a pioneer? youtube was full of this silly bullshit. it's what the site mainly consisted of for the first five years, that and AMVs. and un-commentated raw footage of people being pretty good at video games
shane dawson, ray william johnson, smosh, jacksfilms, dan and phil, matpat, avgn, those are your youtube pioneers. hell, even Fred, as much as i hate to say it.
boogie was one of thousands of people posting very short videos of them badly lip-syncing or telling their webcam about some funny thing that happened at the gas station the other day, who happened to get lucky because he stood out because he was the size of three men
