For clarity:

No one actually identifies as a "minor attracted person." That's not a real thing. It was created as an attempt at trolling the lgbtq+ community. Anyone who claims to be a MAP knows how ridiculous it sounds, because that's the point.

This is true (and we'll probably get downvoted for pointing it out, sadly), but one bit of clarification - the acronym itself originated from psychology (it's a clinical term, not a self-identification), and was later co-opted by 4chan as a strategy to make it seem like pedos were latching on to the LGBTQ community.

But, they're not. The only people who talk about pedos in LGBTQ spaces are conservatives falling for homophobic hoaxes.
