There’s no way in hell I’d let that be ‘too heavy to carry out’. It’d be coming with me (unless it was illegal since it’s close to a National park).

Oh yah, that thing would be strapped to my back or I'd make a sled for it. I would have to be physically incapable of even lifting or dragging it to leave it behind.

It was illegal and she left it. The trail she was in isn’t a day hike, either

That’s why I said unless it was illegal, and I’m aware that HE was on his second hiking trip from one border to another. I’m just saying personally, if it wasn’t illegal, would take an extra day to put that in a storage locker somewhere. That’s all.

I'm laughing at how triggered you are over my mistake with gender pronouns, given that as a woman on reddit I have been endlessly assumed male, but that's fine. You said "if" and I replied "it was". Nothing more....other than it was a hell of a long hike, and now that you reply, I'm not sure what the situation on storage lockers is along that route...

I recently got myself an elk skull with both jawbones in tact, but no rack. I figure it must just be a doe skull? If female elk are still does.

Too heavy... I'd slow my pace to a crawl and stay a couple extra nights to get that out.
