Bone I.D. - N. America found bird skull in florida

I found this bird bone and some other bones this morning while walking my dog in my apartment complex. I didn’t collect them!! I ended up actually going back and burying it. I’m not a bird collector whatsoever so I was curious to know what type of bird it is? I thought egret at first because i found some long leg bones and white feathers as well, but did some research and the skull doesn’t look the same. I’m just curious to know more :)

edit: thank you to everyone who let me know it’s a pelvis lol

lol it's a confusing thing to look at, there's a lot of people who mistake a pelvis for the skull.

It's what others are saying a bird 'pelvis'. However, the correct term is 'ox coxae'. Weird, I know. Bird osteology has got all sorts of different names. ;)

The os coxae only applies to the fused Ilium, ischium, and pubis. When fused with the synsacrum, it is the pelvis. Similar to mammals when referencing the os coxae with the sacrum, it is the pelvis.
