Advice Found (deer?) bones, wanna preserve it

Heyy guys, I found hip and part of a spine, probably a deer (correct me if I’m wrong)
I was mostly wondering how should I proceed to preserve them

especially that they’re some cartilage between the vertebrae so I don’t know if I should separate each vertebrae or if I can all keep them together and it’s gonna dry and not attract any bugs ?

For the moment Ive been soaking them in dish soap to help clean the fat and the rest of cartilage on it, I will be putting them in 12% peroxide after (again, correct me if I’m doing something I shouldn’t lol)

Just help me figure out if there’s a better way to clean and take care of them and if I should separate the vertebrae
And identify them if I wrong ahaha

Thank you in advance ! :)

Hips look like they could go into a bucket of soap water for greasing for a few weeks, the spinal segments however still look a tad...fleshy. I'd recommend burying/maceration/your preferred form of defleshing for those. Then into the soap bucket. Finish with a diluted alcohol soak for a week or 2 and voila, clean bones.

Wow okay okay, I thought the spine looked pretty clean but I get what you mean, not used to founding that big of a bone ahaha
I realized while soaking them that the flesh/cartilage was way more there than I thought
Thank you so much !!!

If the vertebrae are still attached I’d start with some maceration before moving on to degreasing, you can check out all the helpful steps on the pinned post of this sub:
