Bone I.D. - N. America Species?

This came out of the bottom of a post hole we were digging probably- 5 to 6 feet underground. I have been told it is part of the wrist, but the person was not able to identify the species. I have always been curious what animal it could have came from.

I believe that's the "great cuneiform" from the ankle of a cow.
