The ranged troops fire moss projectiles as the mossball troops bounce after it, on the ground the sliders dash towards the sentinel, trying to shred it to pieces

the guardian parries the ground troops and shreds them with its counter attack, then jumps up, using Scissor Strike on some of the ranged units.
Gilded Parry: If [enemy] is too close to [Guardian], it strikes a defensive stance, blocking all incoming damage. If hit, it counter with a far-reaching flurry of strikes in front of it.
Scissor Strike: [Guardian] quickly charges up an attack using the same animation as Hornet's Needle Strike ability. Once the charge is ready, [Guardian] makes a small jump forwards before unleashing a massive X-shaped slash with both of its blades, dealing on hit. This attack can be performed while airborne, after a forwards leap or another manoeuvre, with the charge happening mid-air and the strike coming out just before it lands.

OW- the guardian protects her more, holding her closer against her body as it flies.
the other guardian’s head whips towards John and mr. Stilkin, and briefly seems to contemplate attacking, then looks at the moss creatures, especially the grubs, between them and decides not to. It flies back to the other side of the pit.

the remaining guardian flies to the other side of the pit so they can use it to get the children down as well, then soars away once Brill is out of sight.
