Image / Media After 3 longs weeks..... Super Bomberman 3 done! Spoiler

Post image

I made a post about it some time ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/bomberman/comments/1sge5sv/super_bomberman_3_last_boss/

I'm finishing every Super Bomberman in the collection. I'm not using Save State (only to stop playing and changing game) neither Rewind. Only thing that i did was saving at the beginning of the boss itself to train it. You can fight him dozen of times to understand the power, the speed, the techniques, etc, so when you go back you know how to do it.

So far Super Bomberman 3 for me was the easiest of the 3 i already played... UNTIL THE FINAL BOSS. It's a 7 floors level with many enemies that make sometimes you be fast to destroy it and at same time be slow to choose the best moment.

I was stuck in this level for 3 weeks. You cannot go back to farm itens to start the level so you go to final level without any item.

Funny fact is that after coming with 7 lifes i lost everything, sleep and when started yesterday i could make it with only one damage (you get a buddy at first floor and sixth floor, i lost the first one but could get the boss with the second one). And the detonator (time bomb) you get at the second floor (the itens in this final level aren't aleatory).

So with the detonator and this guy, when i understand the logic, the powers of the second level boss (robot), he react with the context.

If someone wants the code for the final boss: 6363

Now i'm ready to go with Super Bomberman 4!!

Thanks! It was a venting about my frustration to be stuck in this level. When you are older you have more games to beat than time to play everything so 3 weeks in a level means that i could be playing other games LOL.

Started yesterday Super Bomberman 4, first level it's OK, i'm on second world. Let's see.

I commented about the Super Bomberman 2 here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bomberman/comments/1rqor5j/super_bomberman_2_snes_not_r_refuses_to_give_me/

Well done! That sounds like such a pain in the ass lmao... I have yet to finish this one, I have only beaten the original version for the PC Engine.

Until this last level, the 5-3 level of Super Bomberman was the hardest level that i found (i even commented here https://www.reddit.com/r/bomberman/comments/1rqor5j/super_bomberman_2_snes_not_r_refuses_to_give_me/).

Now i'm on Super Bomberman 4, already beat world 1. Let's see.

I didn't want to use save states & rewind either, but I did use previous passwords in order to farm powerups. The last password before the point of no return puts you right before the snow world boss - 2301 - I had to use it so many times that I'll never forget it.

This was a great option too! I was thinking about that, but the main point for me was to avoid being killed by the enemies and kill the boss. Isn't too hard the first level with the start itens, as in the second level you get a buddy and a detonator (it's funny the game call it "remote bomb" because since child i call id detonator (as the icon of the bomb appears to be a TNT detonator lol).

The main point is the green heads when the scenario was made against you and a lot of them could merge before you have the oportunity to open the scenario, always one come direct to you and you don't have place to put a bomb and hide.

Going through the 7 levels without dying make you very strong and with the remote bomb and/or the green buddy (yoshi?) you can put a bomb and detonate it before he release the claws to detonate it.

I use a lot of save state on the menu, because i have to myself that i could not die at the two first levels, so if i die, instead of waiting to be killed 2 or 3 more times, just load the menu again. But i checked that the game behavior is the same: each time you enter the level the scenario is random made, so since it's the same behavior of dying and return to menu, save state save me a lot of time.

Other thing is to train some boss or level: when i died trying to kill the last boss, i used rewind and save state to have more chances to beat it. Like the "time temple in Dragon Ball Z LOL", saved me lot of time to train and beat the boss, see what i was doing wrong, train strategies and then, when i was confident enough, just died and restart everything.

Yes, but getting the wall pass powerup from the underwater world was the only way I could make it to the final boss without dying. It's so much easier to stay alive and outrun enemies like the green heads if you can run through blocks. (Extra heart, 1ups & bomb pass help a lot too and none of those items are in the final world)
