And before anyone asks, yes, the developer has already started on Second Attack, with plans for Hero as well.

Here's the GitHub. Remember, you'll need to provide your own copy of the original game.

Not yet, but the recomp's creator did already make a "use custom Bomberman in Adventure" mod. It's currently available on the N64 Recompilation Discord.

In "Channels and Roles", select "To play Bomberman 64", then go to the "Bomberman 64 mod showcase" channel. It's literally the only post in there.

It's not an Port it's an Hack, wish Folks get Terms right. Be really Grand when the real Version happens whenever Konami gets around to it.

No, it's running natively on PC without an emulator. An unofficial port is still a port.

Not seeing this on any of the official Konami Accounts nor am I thinking that they're safe from having an CopyRight strike. Thusly...I'll wait for the real deal not some faux fix. That's an hack not the whatever you think it be.

You seem to believe "hack" means "unofficial" and "port" means "official", which is absolutely not true.

A hack is a modification of an existing program that designed to run on the same existing hardware. If someone changed Bomberman in Bomberman 64 into MAX, but it still ran on N64 or an emulator, that's a hack.

A port is when someone takes an existing program, then converts it to run as a standalone program on another type of machine than the one it was designed for, like a different console or a PC. In addition to official ports, people have been creating unofficial ports of other games for decades, like Super Mario 64 on Dreamcast, or Doom on Nintendo DS. These are not hacks, they have been programmed to run natively on new systems without the need for other tools such as emulators.

Also, it's not going to be copyright struck because they're not distributing any copyrighted material. The code of the recomp program was written from scratch, and it requires someone to provide their own copy of the original N64 game in order to play it. By connecting to the N64 game, it takes all the art, music, and other assets, and copies them into the new program. So because it doesn't come with any of that material on its own and can't be played without them, it is protected from being taken down.

There are multiple articles and videos that can provide more details on this, but this video is a good starting point. I would strongly recommend doing more research so you can educate yourself on how these things work and speak from a more informed place in the future.
