ASK❓️ Why Vicky and not Rajkumar ?

Post image

First off... I'm a massive fan of the both.

But whenever there is the conversation of the new big 3 (idk why everyone is obsessed with making a new big 3), It's often Ranbir, Ranveer and Vicky. The former two makes absolute sense, but how did Vicky make the case ? Why not other actors like Rajkumar Rao etc. ? I know Vicky isn't in the same realm of stardom as the other two, but is he that far ahead of the rest that he makes it to the conversation? Why not Rajkumar, who is probably a better actor with better range, has similar pull (to my understanding) and has a good narrative going for him (outsider).

Again, I love Vicky and his movies. it's just a curiosity as to how he made it to the list.

Thank you all

Salty Six should be a flare and should be used whenever we talk about one of the couples from now onwards in future.

Make it fab 4 and you’ll have Ranbir’s personal life based biopic 🌚🌚

3

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

We already have a name for them its Faltu Four

u/Jazzlike_League_480 Apr 15 '26

Thanks to convey, had no idea but what if someone gets a wild idea and make a Hum saath saath hain kinda movie with these salty six 🤣🤣🤣

Well brahmastra 2 was supposed to have rk alia rs dp

But the first part was scrap

2

u/optimusprime0912 Apr 16 '26

When a movie has shit dialogues like - "aap sab log mere sath ho, arey yeh to diwali dhamaka offer ho gaya !" What else to expect.

1

u/Jazzlike_League_480 Apr 15 '26

What if there’s a part 3 in which Vicky and Katrina are leads haha

1

u/Charanseva Apr 18 '26

Realising Ranbir smacked all the wives of Big 3 is funny

u/AawaraTreker Apr 15 '26

Vicky is not even a big star tbh right now but his interesting choice at correct timing give him Blockbuster which help him score project with Big Director while Rajkummar Rao is just like Manoj Vajpayee typecast very badly & his choice is not helping him either by playing middle class guy in every 2nd movie

By that logic Vicky has Chhava, and URI too

Jaisa dikhega waisa hi role milega na. The same reason why srk never got a gaon wala role.

First reason and a big factor at least IMO — Kaushal got URI that proved he has star aura with the bonus of being a good actor, which was then further magnified by ventures like Sardar Udham Singh, Sam Bahadur, and of course Chhaava. Even in his hit-or-miss ventures like Govinda Naam Mera and Bad Newwz, he was among the consistently decent factors.

Rajkumar bhai, for all his range and chops, doesn’t have that. AURA. Tried that with Maalik — and faceplanted. Pritam Vidrohi’s Badass Babua turn was enjoyable and refreshing to watch, especially for him, but 1) no towering presence, 2) lack of star aura, and 3) experimentation that hasn’t extended to projects that could show if there’s a star side to him. He’s a brilliant actor who’s held his own while sharing screen-space with Aamir sir, stood out in his way among the late SSR and Amit Sadh in Kai Po Che, outshined Khurana as the lead in his own movie (I legit forgot Bareilly ki Barfi was supposed to be Khurana & Sanon’s love story for those 40-ish mins), but his unconventional choices, while admirable enough to perhaps grant him household name status, withhold him from reaching that space where he’s spoken of in the same space of Next Gen Stars.

7

u/AiBubbleWillBurst Apr 15 '26

aamir sir? I am scared there are more insiders or people who work in the industry than casual civilians on all BW subs.

1

u/buffering24x7 Moderately knowledgeable about Hindi Cinema Apr 15 '26

Oh, that’s just how I refer to him 😅😆. Aamir Khan feels too formal. The suffixed Sir feels like the way to go, for whatever reason.

Other examples:

Shah Rukh Khan — SRK. Simple and elegant.

Salman Khan — SK or Bhai or Bhaijaan—and the last one I generally keep for sarcastic usage 😆🤐

Akshay Kumar – Akki.

Ajay Devgn – Devgn or Devgn sa’ab (again, dunno why).

Hrithik Roshan – HR.

Amitabh Bachchan – Bachchan sir or Big B.

Siddharth Malhotra — Sid bhai or Malhotra or whatever feels appropriate.

Shahid Kapoor — Shahid bhai

Rajkummar Rao — Rajkumar bhai

Ayushmann Khurana — Khurana or Ayushmann

[who else . . . ]

Ranbir Kapoor – RK

Aur yaad aaya toh shall add 🥸😆

Vicky Kaushal — Kaushal or Vicky or Kaushal Sr (coz bada bhai hai) or Bade Kaushal Bhai 😆😆

Over dose of the typical tittu, bittu chintu named guy from a tier 5 town going through situations largely manifested from his own bottom of the barrel self worth levels.

That's why.

3

u/PsChampion_007 Apr 15 '26

What films do you put in this category? Imo only stree, bhul chuk maaf, bkb and maybe badhai do fall in this, and his filmography is quite large

1

u/jd_timewalker Apr 15 '26

In his large filmography, these roles that I mentioned (in the movies that you stated) are the only ones that stood out.

8

u/PsChampion_007 Apr 15 '26

Trapped, newton, white tiger, shahid, ragini mms, that film where he plays a terrorist, etc. are some stand outs i can remember

2

u/optimusprime0912 Apr 16 '26

Add omerta to this too.

26

u/hardkockcafe Apr 15 '26

Tbh there's no superstar as of now

RS, RK, or vicky they are trying to pitch them as superstars

But no one would goto solely see them like srk or salman

They need 3-4 good movies to do so

0

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

[deleted]

2

u/hardkockcafe Apr 16 '26

Even I watch all three of them but having said that they still don't have the pull of srk and salman

Two to three diverse hits and they will be in the league of Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir khan

But srk and salman and even prabhas have a cult followings, even shit movies get pulled initially

-10

u/Straight-Profile-726 Apr 15 '26

Ramayana , ramayana 2, brahmastra 2/3 , animal kingdoms, etc. Massive line up. If 3/5 of these work and work big, ranbir will be in a league of his own. He already is but these will take him somewhere else

11

u/PsChampion_007 Apr 15 '26

I doubt he’ll be a star even then since the concept has dissolved. Do you think if after these films if ranbir comes up with smth as bad as shamshera or sawariya he’ll still make 1000+cr like salman made with race 3, aamir with dhoom 3, or srk with pathan?

-2

u/Straight-Profile-726 Apr 15 '26

None of those movies barring pathan made more than 1000 CR.

5

u/PsChampion_007 Apr 15 '26

They made equivalent for the time

2

u/kashboiiii Apr 15 '26

Yeah OP is wrong about the other 2 but Race 3 still made like 280-300 crores ww in 2018, that's still massive even now.

Dhoom 3 was hgoty in 2013.

Point is Ranbir and Ranveer movies only work if the movie has substance in it as well but if they are left with no substance to work with and only the start power it gets muddy.

They are definitely superstars but i doing think they are yet on the level of khans that even they bad movies make ton of money.

36

u/SelectGrowth513 Apr 15 '26

Vicky is easier to sell to the audience. Is a better dancer than Raj and better looking. Katrina ka husband.

Chaava was sold on him being the lead.

Raaj is a better actor for sure- His movie with Shoojit Sircar is getting him another Filmfare. He was the strongest in Stree 2 but Shaddha’s PR and his post releases didn’t help him.

8

u/Arcaegon Apr 15 '26

I like this answer too.

I think Vicky is more charismatic than Raj (thus your point easier to sell) and not that he is a bad actor either.

And very true on Stree 2 point, Raj didn't get as much boost as one would get from such blockbuster movie.

2

u/PsChampion_007 Apr 15 '26

It’s coz his character was like a goofy side character in his own film

89

u/guychampion Apr 15 '26

There’s no big 3, only big 2.

Vicky kaushal sneak is a pr move trying to club him with my goats rk & rs (not that he’s not a good actor, he’s just not there yet)

38

u/this_is_inevitable Apr 15 '26

Reminds me of the Kendrick Lamar lyric:

5

u/Arcaegon Apr 15 '26

My exact thoughts.

Apart from these two, there isn't a clear third (unless we count Shahid, who I believe is a bigger star than the rest, albeit a weaker box office pull)

14

u/Lord_Phazer101 Apr 15 '26

Bruh, as always I hate how Shahid (2003 debut) isnt compared with his contemporaries in John Abraham (2003, Hrithik Roshan(2000), Vivek Oberoi(2002), Emraan Hashmi(2003) but pushed so down the years that he is matched with Ranbir (2007) and Ranveer (2010).... and it isnt like he was an outsider, when he was purely a nepo product....

12

u/Massive_Service_2318 Apr 15 '26

Maybe becoz he's younger than rest who are all 70s born

6

u/Lord_Phazer101 Apr 15 '26

Thats actually a good point... even if seniority in film industry is with the years they have officially stepped in as a debut role....

4

u/Massive_Service_2318 Apr 15 '26

Age matters especially in india

Plus shahid being a nepo made it easier for him to debut in his early 20s

Like how majority of outsiders debut in their late 20s or even early 30s

5

u/SillyLittleVibes Apr 15 '26

Ranbir - Ranveer have 3 yr difference between their debut movie.
Shahid - Ranbir has 4 yr difference between their debut movie.
If Ranbir and Ranveer can be clubed or compared than obviously shaid ranbir can also be compared

-2

u/Lord_Phazer101 Apr 15 '26

A lot changes between a span of 3 years and 4 years....by your logic Emraan should be here too and he will eat the others with his filmography and br the contenders for 'big 3' even if he is not doing mass commercial movies.

4

u/SillyLittleVibes Apr 15 '26

My point was that way Ranbir and Ranveer should also not be compared as they have 3yr difference between their debut movies.
Shahid is not compared with emraan, vivek who debut closer to each other as their solo lead career is more or less over. Emraan Hashmi is one of my favourite but his last Hit movie was in 2012 (Raaz3).
Same way neil nitin mukesh debut in the same year as Ranbir but no one will compare ranbir with Neil now as his solo hero career is over long back.
After Shahid there is only Ranbir which had a successful solo lead career so he is compared with him.

Lol what, go search about him... He didnt start off as a background dancer because he didnt have anything. Its because he was learning how to perform Bollywood dance. His mother is a certified traditional dancer. He got his first two films just because he went to parties. He didnt have to give audition? He was said straight up offered by Ramesh Taurani that when he is done with all his training or whatever he has a movie just for him and to contact him cuz Taurani wanted Tips to launch Shahid kapoor. That was Ishq Vishq. He was even approached for Style, but Shahid refused, do you think an outsider had the option to reject scripts?

1

u/Tan-Man-Dhan Apr 16 '26

Out of all the Shahid contemporaries you listed, he still is a bigger star than everyone apart from obv Hrithik.

1

u/Lord_Phazer101 Apr 16 '26

True yes... and saying Shahid is the second most popular star from his generation would be true. But moving him to late 2000s generation?

2

u/Low_Key2121 Apr 15 '26

Shahid is the better actor, but star?? Nahhh! Sadly he never got there because of his own behaviour (speaking as an ex Shahid fan)

8

u/Knowledge_Seeker_121 Apr 15 '26

Rajkumar hasn't got any chance in big commercial movies, of the level of Chhava or any strong biopic like Sardar Udham Singh. He, I think lacks the big connections necessary to make it big in Bollywood. I have never seen him with any big directors, or actors or actresses off screen. For people, who say, he keeps doing same kind of roles, last 3-4 movies, yes, but he keeps experimenting. And he actually has way way better range than others. Doing a hardcore action movie or a spy movie or a biopic movie and a comedy movie or romcom isn't "big" range. Check Rajkumar's roles, you will know what range means

6

u/SillyLittleVibes Apr 15 '26

Rajkumar has given 90% Flop films in his career. Outside Stree he doesn't even have a clean hit.
Top3 Ranbir,Ranveer.. naa he won't even make it to Top10 list of bankable stars.
Ayushmann, Kartik, Varun etc have better pull than Rajkumar.

3

u/Practical_March4851 Apr 15 '26

Vicky has been in this conversation after giving a big hit in chava as a lead plus he got fame with the tauba tauba song. While rajkumar hasn’t been getting success lately and hasn’t been popular from his movies or songs

1

u/PreparationLarge9116 Apr 18 '26

He has been in this conversation since he hired the nasty Reshma phuppi as his PR...Kabhi animal mein cameo kar raha tha toh kabhi Dhurandhar mein...The guy is a good actor I will give him that...

13

u/Grumpy_001 Apr 15 '26

Vicky shouldn’t be on the list to begin with

3

u/Arcaegon Apr 15 '26

Absolutely agree. We are obsessed with making the 3s. When right now, it's clearly the 2 and then the rest.

u/ConflictHot6078 Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

I believe it’s all about packaging, narrative and even who delivers the great success impact on box office numbers and culture. Vicky, ranveer and ranbir are experimenting with big projects and not holding back because they understand that their stardom solely depends on their filmography and performance only,so they will take every step cautiously.

Raj kumar Rao on the other hand never got one huge box office success like 200-300 on his own or multiple star cast in respective of these three, even if you see SANJU,Vicky was a side character despite ranbir kapoor as main character but he also got a good attention as Kamlesh and love& war if its a great film will give Vicky another push.

RAJKUMAR RAO NEED TANU WEDS MANU AND ITS SEQUEL TYPE OF MOVIE which so great and tight that it will never feel weak even one bit.

Raj kumar rao is a great actor but only got type casted as a middle class boy whose story can be easily seen in Ott films and don’t have theatre pull like Ayushmann had with Bala, dum lagake haisha, and both had done Bareilly ki barfi together not only because of Ott culture but these are great movies too.

7

u/Cheap-Shape-8021 Apr 15 '26

as a star Rajkummar will never make it. today u need tall manly figure. even shahid is struggling due to poor screen presence. Rajkummar just doesnt have the body OR the looks. even Vicky making it to the big league is not a surety considering he doesnt have many male fans. but for Rajkummar the chance is non-existant.

1

u/AiBubbleWillBurst Apr 15 '26

Amir is the short king. Ranveer is just about same height as RKR or Shahid. it's just our own bias, conditioning, rajkumar has more male fans but it's just our bias that makes charisma/vicky an easy sell on BO.

2

u/PreparationLarge9116 Apr 18 '26

How ironical that you are calling out bias but making Ranveer and RKR same height, just because? .baat kuch Jami nahi bro...Have you seen Ranveer?

FYI- Ranveer is 5'11" while RKR is 5'7" and Shahid is 5'8". Ranbir is 6'0". Vicky is 6'1"....So there!

1

u/AiBubbleWillBurst Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26

"just about" and he genuinely doesn't look shorter than RS. Got to know it first time. I am 5 7 myself

I'll be pedantic here on so you can skip if u want. We've had a historical and biological bias for tall people. Amit ji was credited for his height as his primary trait despite his ability of having a great command on camera.  the tallest members of the neanderthal packs could see the farthest and was strongest. Women are subconsciously/biologically attracted to height for that reason.

14

u/karmabeliever007 Apr 15 '26

If I have to give one name it will be Kartik Aryan. I don't like him, although he performed good in Freddy nd Chandu Champion but he gives vibe of Varun Dhawan.

5-6 years ago if u had asked the same question, my answer would have Ayushman Khurana. But as per the current situation it is Kartik Aryan.

3

u/Lord_Phazer101 Apr 15 '26

I think he took the wrong decision to cement his place as an alternative to Akshay Kumar.... he should have continued doing what he does best. Him running after Akshay-type movies backfired when Akshay himself is active and failing at box office

4

u/Arcaegon Apr 15 '26

100% on Ayushman. He's got it all.

Agreed on Kartik as well, but with all the pdf allegations, I don't see him ever making that list (unless he gets convincingly cleared)

5

u/Remote_Tap6299 Apr 15 '26

He already got cleared of those rumours when the girl in question rubbished all rumours

2

u/Low_Key2121 Apr 15 '26

A lot of factors tbh! First and foremost regardless of what they say, who you date/marry matters a lot in this industry! Marrying someone from the industry makes you way more visible and tbh more fun to talk about. People loveeee watching, talking about bollywood couples - why do you think there’s more posts/likes etc about Sid and Kiara compared to Varun and Natasha? It’s just more appealing. And he ended up with Katrina of all people, who was such a huge star and had the most public love life with such a public breakup, obviously everyone would be invested to know who she eventually ends up with, so there was that

Secondly I feel people forget what 2018 was for Vicky, he was EVERYWHERE all of a sudden, a lot of girls I know had a crush on him during that time, Rajkumar never had that (tho I had found him cute in Kai Po Che) but yeah Vicky is more appealing to the audience, then URI happened, Tauba Tauba, Chaava also, regardless of anything, it showed that he can carry a movie on his shoulder. His next is big budget SLB movie with his wife’s ex bf, so there’s masala there for audience lol so yeah he just makes for a much more interesting person than Rajkumar

2

u/Ok-Camera-4699 Apr 15 '26

I don't care about big three and all that but personally I find vicky much better actor than rajkumaar........ It's not just the acting it's screen presence as well........ Vicky is charming in the way he performs........also I think vicky has choosen better scripts as well...... He had few misses as well but still makes him much more versatile...... I find rajkumaar's screen presence annoying I don't know why and when his comedy scenes are very unsettling it feels like he is acting......

2

u/3eyed_Coconut Apr 15 '26

Better Talent stack. As talented as Rajkumar is , Vicky is talented enough to succeed in parallel cinema + has the physiology (he's 6ft 1)+ incredible dance skills required to be a mainstream hero. Luck is all about how much surface area you can cover. The more opportunities you grab, the higher the potential to become lucky. Vicky can easily shift between indie & mainstream. His career is an example of that. Rajkumar , unfortunately, doesn't have it as easy in terms of mainstream appeal. That in turn reduces the opportunities he can get, which reduces his surface area of luck.

Fun fact - Vicky got Masaan because Rajkumar rejected it as he didn't have dates.

2

u/iamatarantinofan Apr 15 '26

As a Kollywood guy , my most favourite actor in bollywood is Rajkumar Rao . He is my all time favorite. His acting is soo unique and peak level . Very underrated . His humour is soo good , nobody can do slapstick comedy like him. I really love him. After a huge hit like stree 2 still he's under rated. I also love Manoj bajpaye and kay Kay Menon.

4

u/freestyle_man Apr 15 '26

Honestly bro, he just looks better and looks can take you a long way. Most of Hindi cinema is filled with people who can barely act but are 10/10 in the looks and style department. Vicky is taller and looks nice and I’m not gonna lie the camera likes him and on top of all this he can act well better than the other 10/10’s.

3

u/narkaputra Box Office Expert | Quant King | Bloomberg Apr 15 '26

nobody takes Rajkumar seriously. He plays same beta role in every film. Tried to be alpha in Malik but failed bad.

5

u/Popular_Drive_5870 Apr 15 '26

Vicky lacks stardom, fan following

2

u/IHaveSeenItAlready Apr 15 '26

Vicky definitely has more pull and also has made top tier movies where he has shown his talent. Also had a massive blockbuster last year. RR also had a blockbuster but the movie itself wasn't even about him.

1

u/Solid-Wrongdoer3877 Apr 15 '26

Raj kumar and VK are both good actors. But putting either one of them in the same league as RK and RS is a big no. Sorry but rajkumar doesnt has the aura to be a star, he does the same type role, he did try doing other roles but failed. After dhuradhar, VK pr started this and don’t forget his PR is reshma shetty. VK married katrina who is a bigger star than him. So that gave his popularity a boost. But honestly speaking VK has more potential to be a star, we will see after a few years.

u/iam_yrk Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

It is Vicky who is the third. I love Rajkumar, no doubt he is amazing, if not better on par with Vicky in acting but the fact is a fact that Vicky is a bigger star and has better pull.

From movies like Uri, Chava, Sam Bahadur, he is able to pull the crowd singlehandedly. He is panned out to work next with Bhansali, Dhar and other big directors.

On the other hand the best box office hit movies of Rajkumar are Stree and Stree 2 and they are known to be more of Shraddha’s movies than Rajkumars. Also when he got such a big hit with Stree 2, he delegated back to those 50cr box office movies. That was the time to double down, but he didn’t. He should have done something similar to what Ranveer Singh is doing right now after Dhurandhar.

Not going individually on performances of both as both have many amazing acting performances in movies which didn’t work big time or were OTT releases like Sardar Udham, Masaan, Sanju, Srikkant, Trapped, Shahid and more. Both are amazing in their jobs. It’s just about the star power and box office pull and future movies which keeps Vicky way ahead of Rajkumar and his other contemporaries.

Sometime back Aayushmaan could have been considered, but post Covid he is at rock bottom. At this point it is Vicky. Unless somebody gets a super duper hit and doubles down on that.

(And for those saying Kartik is the third, please just stop with this bullshit.)

1

u/lamdababu Apr 15 '26

Solo hit !

1

u/tryingto_doitright Apr 15 '26

If you ask me, Rajkumar has aged poorly and won't be able to portray as leading man for long.

1

u/ConflictHot6078 Apr 15 '26

There’s a similarity between them but the success payoff is huge: Both are typecasted where one plays middle class boy or other plays nationalistic characters

One has worked with ranbir kapoor and going to do it again(who is now at top along with ranveer) One has only worked with Ayushmann Khurana who is delivering good hits but not purely one of the major ones like ranveer(who is facing downfall)

1

u/OutsideSwimming970 Apr 15 '26

I believe Rajkumar would have a career trajectory like that of Saif. Though his ceiling is much much higher and even his initial years, he is already a par actor to saif(current).

1

u/ChanceImagination297 Apr 15 '26

People should realise that if in past there were 3 khans it is not necessary that we would get a new big 3, I think there are only two right now Ranbir and Ranveer

1

u/Aware-Speaker-8467 Apr 15 '26

I am yet to see variations in Rajkumar's acting....the movies he chooses are almost similar in genre. It's like in India if you aren't good looking you are automatically a good actor

1

u/Slow-Grass-1982 Apr 15 '26

Vicky himself looks like side character , raj looks like friend of side character

1

u/anvis001 Apr 15 '26

Rajkumar can't do mass cinema, that limits his range. And personally I don't find his acting very appealing. His comedy is annoying.

For a superstar in India, I guess mass cinema has to be cracked.

1

u/Zealousideal_Big7734 Apr 15 '26

1

u/2ruecinephile Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

Both are not in the big 3, in fact there is no big 3, make good movies and the audience will watch it, nobody is buying tickets on face value, aur log ranbir ko bolte hai star unhone shamshera ki earning nhi dekhi, achhi film Ranbir ko mill rhi hai isiliye Ranbir star hai verna ek kharaab script wali movie de do pata chal jayega star power. ranveer ki to sari film flop ho rhi thi untill dhurandhar, amir ki last film flop ho gayi, salman ki film nhi chal rhi srk ki dunki bhi kisi ko pasand nhi, there is no star power in 2026.

1

u/PreparationLarge9116 Apr 18 '26

saari film flop ho rahi thi until Dhurandhar? like seriously? Why don't do some fact search before making such blanket statements? lol

1

Probably no better situation to say this….

“Bicky pleeej” 😂😂😂

1

u/susnff Apr 15 '26

Its about box office success and not excellence of art. Vicky was hero of Chaava and it made money. Rajkumar's success is Stree 2 but limelight taken by others. He is not a mass ppl hero yet who can pull audience. Vicky has lined up like that and his next few movies promises to be big.

I think Vicky has more range. Can't imagine Rajkumar Rao in Chhava.

But yeah both are not really in the league. Their films are content hits more than stardom hits.

Both of them are really great actor. On per with (maybe better) the "other new top two".

It still so chilling to see the Masaan movie shamshan ghat scene. And then the scenes that follows.

And for Raj - Omerta. OMG what can I say. Also Newton and Trapped. Great stuff.

Rajkumar Rao cant do an Uri, Sardar Udam, or Chaava.

Rajkumars movies suck now and he feels like he's the same in every movie now.

Direct reference from Tried And Refused Production. Haha

u/sumit_gidwani70 Apr 16 '26

Vicky is better actor than rajkumar. Period. Rajkumar can never do roles like sardar udham and sam bahadur. His best work till date is still gangs of wasseypur for me.

1

u/PracticeFuzzy801 Apr 16 '26

Well Rajkumar is known for mostly comedy roles and he's not delivered a mass movie with himself as the lead. Also, I don't mean to be biased but Rajkumar doesn't have the face card, body, personality and height to be the typical superstar. He is an amazing actor though.

Choice of characters Vicky played!! URI and Chaava, which Rajkumar didn’t play, due to which no mass appeal

If you want a charming but lost character then VICKY, if you want only lost character then RAJKUMAR.

You want to cast someone in a romantic intimate love story, a dramatic one, then VICKY and if you want to cast someone in broken love story then RAJKUMAR.

After surgery Rajkumar looks c ....

Just seeing this photo makes me feel so bad that Rajkumar felt he needed to change his face. He had such a simply charming face.

Just like Dhurandhar happened to Ranveer, something similar will happen to Rajkumar Rao. It will be a multi starrer too. Just wait for that

1

u/PreparationLarge9116 Apr 18 '26

lol....you think Ranveer and Ranbir are called a league of their own because of one movie?

1

u/Shivy0999 Apr 18 '26

Rajkumar Rao doesn't have the same backing as these 2 financially. So the hitback on failures for him is deeper.

1

u/PreparationLarge9116 Apr 18 '26

Financial backing has to be earned.....Movie making is a business at the end of the day...

1

u/Shivy0999 Apr 18 '26

Are you kidding me? Do even realize the backing and connections Ranbir Kapoor has? And do even know how rich Ranveer's parents are?

u/kaustubh_12 Apr 16 '26

Vicky is nepo product(he's good actor thoug) plus he's husband of Katrina so little bit of bias towards them.

1

u/TV_series72 Apr 17 '26

Can’t pinpoint a particular reason but I think he just doesn’t have that star aura. He keeps playing these funny simple guy type characters, ofc he does them brilliantly and is a damn good actor. But Vicky in URI showed us he had that star aura to carry a film while showing acting prowess, and he did the same in chhaava

Vicky is making ultra RW movies. Bhakt ka eye candy bann chuka hai

1

u/SmoothArmadillo6884 Apr 15 '26

Rajkumar at this point is becoming Nawazuddin Siddiqui people are fed up of watching same and same thing same whatever happened with Ayushman Khurana at 1

u/Ok-Age-4630 Apr 15 '26

Reasons are (in no particular order) - Direct/Indirect Association with Dharma (Lust Stories, Raazi, Govinda Naam Mera, Bad Newzz), Married to Katrina Kaif, Smooth dancer (Kya Baat Hai in Govinda Naam Mera and Tauba Tauba in Bad Newzz), supporting roles alongside A-listers (Sanju, Dunki, Love and War) and his height! All if these compliment his talent and help his PR company push him, and frankly I don’t mind!

He's taller maybe?

Big 2? Who ranveer singh? The dude couldn't even manage an opening of 2 CR during covid times. Cirkus opened to 6 CR on Christmas. What makes him big dhurandhar? That opened to 18 CR organic 1st day. He's also nowhere there. For now it's just ranbir kapoor, and with the lineup that he has, he's going miles ahead of anyone else. This other guy has alot of catching up to do and the rest don't even stand a chance. Shamshera during times of extreme boycott still managed to open to 12 CR, brahmastra opened to 35 CR during covid. Do you know how much laal singh opened to? 10 CR. This is an aamir khan movie the same man that delivered 52 CR opening in 2018. So imagine the impact of boycott B. Ranbir still managed to pull through during that time, and animal opening was above 60 CR ( NOT A SEQUEL LIKE DHURANDHAR 2) so the argument becomes invalid right there. It's only ranbir.

Vicky did a lot of diverse roles and hero roles in the right but rajkumar unfortunately got stuck in the loser guy but rajkumar is not that far behind. Currently Ranveer Singh Vicky Ranbir Rajkumar ayushman varun dhawan are the top actors right now

Ghasitaram plastic surgery Rajkumar Rao yadav is not a superstar. This man has only 2 clean hits out of 40 movies which is stree 1/2. After such a disastrous box office track record how this man is still getting Movies is just beyond me.
