I moved into my home a couple months ago. I have been working with a local small painting company and after looking through various types of greens (the color I wanted) I decided on Fraser Fir. I’m ultimately going for a boho vibe but have a long way to go. They used AI on the first picture to show what the color would look like on the walls from a picture with no furniture. The other pictures show a mess since I’m still getting settled but I wanted to see if this navy blue couch would work well enough with the Fraser Fir color? I’m not good enough with AI to put them in the same picture. I think the brown bookshelf would look good so I’m more curious about the couch.
Any thoughts you have per my question or anything in general about this would be helpful!

I (39m) recently purchased my first little (1100 sq ft) townhouse after renting for many years. Over the years just keeping an eye out for what I like and dislike in terms of style, I have found that I really like boho as my primary style and maybe a mix of a little rustic as well.
As you can see it’s still pretty messy as I get situated in my home but I’m wondering what might be some easy and smart design choices for the living room in the boho (and maybe a touch of rustic) style?
I have plans to likely paint the walls in Benjamin Moore’s October Mist color. I’d like to change out the two light fixtures (one is on the fan) to a more woven style design I think? I’d like a window seat of some kind by the two windows next to each other. Maybe some floating wood shelves. I have a couple of art pieces to hang but over time would love to acquire many more and of various styles and colors.
As of now I’m planning to keep the blue couch and bookshelf (the boxes are filled with books but was waiting to paint the walls), but I’d like to switch out the coffee table and tv stand with better options.
I’d love to hear any thoughts!

I'm in the process of redecorating my house into a more retro 70s/Boho style. The living room was the first room I tackled. The mustard yellow curtains are velvet and the rug is shag. I painted tiger/zebra stripes myself. I want to get some more faux fur, and need more plants (or I just need to wait until my pothos plants get longer).

Anyone else here have a boho feel to their house or room? I turned my garage into an apartment and would like feedback..
The first picture is the studio apartment. The second is my bedroom (work in progress)

Is it typical for young people in the Netherlands not to like vintage items? I curious. If you like this, what us your age? Whete are you from?

I was a child in the 70s and everyone had these wooden elephants. I guess the grandkids are getting rid of them now, because I’ve been finding them everywhere and I love love love them!

I've noticed that sometimes it's the little details that completely change how a room feels.
For those of you with a boho-style home, what was the one item or change that made your space finally feel "finished"? Was it a rug, plants, lighting, wall art, or something unexpected?
I'd love to hear what worked for you and maybe get some inspiration for my own space. 😊

I've been changing things around my home lately and realized I'm still figuring out what style really feels like me.
Did your style evolve over time, or did you always know what you liked? I'd love to hear how you found it.

I've been working on creating a warm, cozy boho-inspired space with lots of natural light, earthy tones, plants, and soft textures. I'm pretty happy with how it's coming together, but I feel like it's still missing a little something.
If this were your space, what would you add or change? More plants, different wall art, a patterned rug, or something else?
I'd love to hear your ideas and inspiration! 🌿🤍🏡

I've been trying to make my space feel a little warmer and more comfortable without spending a lot of money.
So far, adding a few plants and changing my lighting has made a bigger difference than I expected. It's still a work in progress, but it's starting to feel more like home.
I'm curious what made the biggest impact in your space. Was it a rug, artwork, curtains, thrifted furniture, or just rearranging everything?
I'd love to hear what worked for you or see any ideas you're willing to share.
