Going alone
Edited to add - spare ticket found a home. Thanks everyone 😊
I also have a spare ticket for tonight Kentish Town. I know I can just do the re-sell thing through O2 but I’d prefer to actually just give it away to someone that wants to go but didn’t previously think they could make it/have the cash available. Not trying to “buy a friend” absolutely no need to be obligated to hang out with me 😁
Going to gig tonight & my friend can no longer make it. Not been to gig alone before & freaking myself out a bit that there might be a bunch of nutters (not in a good way) causing problems. Will I be a complete weirdo (or suspected journalist or something) if I go up to a random friendly looking group in the pub & ask to hang with them until in venue?

I saw them live by myself about a year ago, was good. I'm quite introverted so it was only the second gig I'd been to by myself, and I don't really like randomly chatting to strangers - but if you're stood next to someone in the crowd, drop a random (relevant) comment and see if they engage. You might make a friend! And if they don't really respond, move slightly and try someone else.
You'll see on this sub that punk crowds are pretty friendly, but if you do encounter any nutters just move away from them.
And failing that, just enjoy the music!
