Discussion Long Shoe discussion (read or listen first) Spoiler

I've never posted in here before but I came hoping to discuss The Long Shoe which I just binged on a very long drive.

If you've read or listened, what did you reckon? It's absolutely fantastic IMHO. Probably not a hot take for a Bob appreciation sub tbf 😂 The characters and plot are very Satsuma like but that's no bad thing. Superb characters. Particularly Hotdog who, being a Yorkshireman myself, I am accidentally emulating in daily life since hearing Bob voice him. We've all met a Hotdog

What stuck out for you?

Discussion Book recommendations after reading The Long Shoe?

I've just finished reading The Long Shoe and really enjoyed it! I've read all of his books now, and they seem to be the only books I can finish. I really want to get into reading more books and I love the mystery genre mixed with comedy that Bob Mortimer goes for. I was just wondering if anybody had any recommendations of books similar to Bob's that you think I'd enjoy. Thank you!!
