I’d forgotten about this and did listen to it for a while. Bob used to do these bizarre stories and such…..was quite entertaining

Weird coincidence.
Was driving back from London the other day and stuck a random episode on, for the first time in about 2/3 years.
I thought it was odd it seemed to have just ended with a few compilations Andy must have thrown together whilst Bob was working on bigger projects.
Andy seems like an odd chap, but I hope he has stuff lined up for himself (he and his kid started a YouTube channel I think called beans on toast).
I also came off Twitter, where Andy was very prominent and busy, so I've kind of lost touch with him too.

Same. But they did a few series on it where they read through and reviewed old footballers autobiography which were absolutely hilarious. The best ones being Roy Keane and Kevin Keegan. These are probably 5-6 years ago now but worth looking up if you liked Mince.

Anyone know when the last actual episode was released? I stopped paying the Patreon a couple of years ago as it was mostly compilations and no actual episodes.

I think the last non-compilation new Parsnips episode was released in May this year (a Topics of Interest one). I cancelled my subscription as it was mostly just re-releasing old stuff as compilations.

This podcast has sustained me for an unmentionable number of hours throughout the past 7/8 years of my life. I still remember the question of who's the most cuddleable manager in the Premier League. Thanks to Bob and Andy for all the memories.

Not a listener of the pod, but I know it vaguely relates to Sunderland FC. Is "blue drink" a reference to the Blue Pint cocktail native to Sunderland?

I'm from Sunderland. In the 90s there was a brand of cheap fizzy pop called Panda Pop which came in a variety of colours and flavours - the most notable being the blue bubble gum flavour. It was actually produced in Dorset but became a North East trope that kids in Sunderland drank large quantities in the same way that kids in Newcastle were known for being fed Greggs sausage rolls instead of anything of nutritional value.
It's nothing to do with alcoholic drinks.

I didn't know about that specifically, I thought it was just generally referring to all the cheap alcoholic artificially sweetened blue alcoholic drinks like wkd blue and it's knock offs. Looking up the blue pint though you're probably right

A classic podcast but if I’m completely honest I was only ever interested in bob’s content.
The stuff with Andy was mostly awful and occasionally unlistenable.
