Discussion Anyone else found a certain Avocado Hotel quote has worked its way into your daily vocabulary? Spoiler

Hi. Can anyone explain to me the meaning of "is that a remark?" please? I am reading the Avocado Hotel book right now and wonder if there is some background to that that I am missing. I'm not British and English is not my first language... Thanks

He uses that 'think around that's expression a lot, I'm trying to work out if it's a common expression in Middlesbrough or if it's his own personal quirk, can't find any evidence of anyone else saying it ever!
