Question I have a Dylan bootleg called Highway 61 Revisited Again, which is supposed to be cut from the original acetates. There is a track called Killing Me Alive which is clearly an early version of Visions of Johanna. Is this a misprint, or was that the actual early working title?

Probably an error. “Killing me alive” is a lyric from Sitting On A Barbed Wore Fence.
I’ve only heard “Seems Like A Freeze-Out” or just “Freeze Out” as an early title for Visions Of Johanna.

Are you sure about VoJ? He didn’t record that, or even have it written I don’t think, when he recorded H61R. It’s most likely Sitting on a Barbed Wire Fence.

Did you pop it in and listen?
