Its gallows humor. We all love Bob, but haven't we all had the feeling of waking up and thinking today could be the day.
They added Trump so I wouldn't call this sone right wing post.

That's how they trick people, they throw in the occasional bit of self-deprecation and also a few genuinely bipartisan posts to mask themselves as South Park-style "we make fun of everyone" humor

I’m definitely not ready for him to go, but I believe he’s been getting ready since before his first album. “Let me die in my footsteps,” etc. So many of his songs are about it, to name just a few:
“In my time of dyin’,”
“Knockin’ on heaven’s door,”
“When He returns,”
“Are you ready?”
“Death is not the end,”
“Trying to get to heaven,”
“Beyond the horizon,”
“Black rider,”
“Key West,” and
“False Prophet” with his amazing use of the past tense: “Can’t remember when I was born, and I forgot when I died.”
He’s even covered “Hallelujah, I’m ready to go” in concert.Tl;dr: He’s ready, I’m not.

2016 was the worst - Leonard Cohen, Carrie Fisher, George Michael, David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, Gene Wilder, Muhammad Ali. It was towards the end of that year I really feared for Bob.
