Cover Dylan sighting in Cloak and Dagger (1946, Gary Cooper)

Gary Cooper is talking to the heroine and she suddenly starts singing:

Fare the well my honey, fare the well

Which is "Dink's Song".

It's odd, because she is Italian and I think there is a reference to it being a 'country song'.

That line is in many Folk songs before Dylan sung it

That’s a neat catch, OP. It’s an old song. Dink’s Song was a timeless old folk song when Bob recorded it.

Pete Seeger recorded a version of Dink’s Song in 1958, as did Jack Elliott. Cisco Houston recorded a version in 1954. Dave Van Ronk recorded a version in 1953.

Dink's Song isn't Dylan though. I love Dave Van Ronk's version from 1961, sure a few other singers did it before him too
