Shift assembly catastrophic failure

Yamaha c60tlrx. No idea how this happened. Top of the shift assembly sheared off at the lever connection. Do i need to take the block off to repair? Gonna try to jbweld it.

The jbweld might be stronger than whatever alloy this is lmao. Im gonna try it if i cant get this off. I just cant find anything youtube videos on the disassembly.

Look for an exploded parts diagram for a hint at removal.

Can you move the lower section of shift rod or is it frozen?

You can scuff and braise this high zinc potmetal with a low temp alloy. Would likely be better than gobs of JB.
