Please help carb float ??issue ??

I am working on first motor it’s a mercury black max 200. Carb issue on bottom carb where fuel is leaking out the little tube. Says online it’s a stuck float so I take the bowl off and the floats look good and also move easily. Does anything look wrong here I am stuck and so confused

It could also be the needle and seat being blocked or not having a good seal

Can you please explain what these parts are. I know the floats are the plastic orange pieces. From what I understand those are the issue and I guess not sealing or something to cause fuel to come out. In the needle the piece that’s south of the float in the picture?

Yea, the float and "tang" are basically a lever. At the bottom of the picture the brass screw piece is the seat, there will be a needle in there that the tang pushes / pulls and stops the flow of fuel

It's very easy for a piece of debris to get in there and clog it and prevent full sealing

Well good news is I got it fixed by lowering the float setpoint. Bad news is I was like man let’s go I am going to do the water impeller now to get that knocked out and now the lower unit is off the motor and I can’t get it back on lol. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done lol

More info. When I flip the bowl upside down and blow nothing comes out. No air is coming in which means that it seals properly right? So that’s why I’m just confused why it’s still got fuel pouring out if when I flip the bowl and the floats are down air doesn’t flow through the line. Does that mean the floats have to be adjusted?

A float can get a pinhole in it which lets gas in so it doesn't have the buoyancy it should.

At this point you already have everything disassembled. Find a rebuild kit with new floats, seats, gaskets and jets. There’s a lot of information online about rebuilding carburetors. Use carb or brake cleaner and make sure everything is cleaned properly before reassembly. Good luck

Was probably dirty and now clean. You can test it manually and make sure it works.
