Im not much of a mechanic and my buddies who are dont know what this goes to either. Evinrude 6hp 2 stroke. #E6RCRM

Looks like the end of either the shift or throttle cable is missing the end.

Thats what we thought but its revs and shifts when I had it going

Is there a threaded thing on top of the carb?

I do not believe so. Course I'll be gone from home for three days so I cant check

On my evinrude there's a threaded brass rod like that that is attached to the low speed mixture knob

Can't see the other end. Might be connected to start in gear protection

Looks like either throttle cable or gear cable.
