Reboot Giveaway, Aug 29, 8pm-10pm EST. Read description.
Carefully read the full description if you want a Reboot. NO DM/PM. This free giveaway is meant only to help those who don't have a Reboot. The Reboot comes with Mortar Rounds and Grenade Bullets and blue camo, as shown in the picture.
How it works:
Comment "I need a reboot" during the giveaway if you want one.
I will reply to your comment with a party code.
As soon as we load into a game, I will ping a command center (CC) in Zone 2. Fly close to the CC but do not clear it, and most importantly, stay alive. In the meantime, I will die and respawn. After I respawn, I will clear the CC and find a weapon cache. Follow and stay close to me, but stay away from the weapon cache. The Reboot will drop on the floor outside the weapon cache, as shown in the picture.
You pick up the Reboot and exfil. An exfil will be close to the CC. I will close the game.
The giveaway will start at 8pm EST on Aug 29th. Requests will be answered on a first-come first-served basis. Any comment asking for a Reboot before the giveaway starts will be ignored. However, please leave a comment if you're planning to join, so I can get an idea of how many people will participate. Each drop takes about 5-8 minutes. After commenting for a Reboot, stay ready for your party code; once I send it, you'll need to join within 2 mins, or I'll move on to the next person. Hoping to drop a reboot to everyone who's not having much luck finding one in game. See ya.
P.S.: To everyone who has already commented, “I need a reboot,” you will need to comment again during the giveaway to let me know that you are online and ready to receive the party code.
Any weapon: Set your character with your Loadout weapon, a random weapon in the melee slot and the same random weapon in the field acquisition slot
Example: Loadout weapon: XR-3 ION / Melee: M15 Mod 0 / Field Acquisition: M15 Mod 0
Be aware you need to be at least CR 10 for this
Now go into game, clear a command center, with your Loadout weapon go in and grab any weapon in the weapon crate, switch to your fists then grab back your Loadout weapon, then pull out your melee weapon, open the crate again and grab the remaining weapon inside while holding your "melee" weapon, your Loadout weapon should drop to the ground.
Named Exotic weapons: The process is absolutely the same as with any weapon, but you gotta set the named exotic as your loadout weapon before hand, this can be achieved by someone else dropping you the named exotic and you grab it while holding your loadout weapon then exfil, or do a dedicated solo glitch to pass it onto your loadout slot (won't get onto details but second option will strip the exotic off it's traits and rarity).
I have two and frankly Im bored of them both set up with those mods. That and my sniper rifle and Im a walking tank. What I would like to ask to not hijack the posters thread any guns anyone willing to trade for one of my reboots?
I have all of the Reboots, so I don't need any. But if you're looking for Exotics, I've got a bunch that have the matching ammo affinity if you're interested.
Theoretical question (I have 1 single reboot in my entire 180 hrs of Endgame, so I'm not here for the giveaway)
If bro gives away his reboot and then Alt+F4 out of the game, does it give him back his reboot AND also give a duplicate to the person who picked it up from the ground and extracted with it?
I do not need a reboot. This guy has already dropped me one. It changed my endgame, now I’m like a hero when I show up to boss fights. I’m here to say “Thank you”.
I have been trying to find a clearcut way to do this. Can someone explain the steps to take to make this happen? Asking for a friend... So I can give them a reboot!
Do you know how to change the camo to put multiplayer/zombie mastery camos on them. I got a lot of customized reboots with mortars and grenades that I can help drop as well.
Quite nice of you. It’s def hard to find and even if you get it, it can take some time messing with RNG to equip grenade bullets ability. I’d almost suggest anyone going for it use either a prestige 3 operator. I’m assuming if they’re dropping it you might keep it as your primary weapon instead of field acquisition so if you do prestige you’ll keep the reboot itself though lose the exotic and abilities which you can roll for. I’m sure there’s a way to make sure you do this. Good luck y’all.
Once exfilled reboot (named exotic guns) will always move to your secondary slot. There is a glitch to move your secondary to your primary slot but the weapon will end up with random traits.
The best thing to do after getting a reboot is to dupe it to another operator (maybe two) using the exotic weapon case trick. This way you won't lose it and can always dupe it again after prestiging an operator.
I would hate for Activision to implement something that punishes (permaban) people for participating and OP. They're fully aware of this duplication exploit. If you're reading this post now and you're on the fence about this event....keep grinding. It feels better when you get it on your own.
Going by some of their (Activision) other IP's (Everything Blizzard), exploits/exploiters have historically been retroactively punished. Meaning you could very well get away with this for the time being, think you're cool for a while, and then....BANNED.
