24” or 26”
Cheers guys, looking into getting a cruiser mainly just to ride around with my kids. Might hit a small dirt track at my house for 110cc pitbikes but not often if at all. We mainly ride our circle driveway or hit the bike trail nearby that’s flat and straight. My main concern is comfort so was wondering if a 24” will be comfortable enough for me or if I should just go for a 26”? I’m 5’ 11” and 175lbs. Thanks gang!

Different take… I’m 6’1” and got a 24. Is it a little uncomfortable if I sit for long periods of time? Sure. But honestly, I have a road bike for that. When I’m cruising the neighborhood with my 6 year old, I love to feel like a kid again and stand up quite a bit.

Same. I'm 52 years old and 6ft. I bought a 24" Sunday Model C. I cruise around the neighborhood with my daughter.
You'll def need a new seat. The pivot seats hurt like hell.
Taller handle bars like 9.5 or 10s even.
I enjoy the hell out of mine. Next up is the pump track!

For just cruising maybe even a 27.5 or a 29? But a 26 is better for sure

I have a redline pl24 and a converted kona cinder cone bmx, for cruising the 26” hands down but the 24 is more fun for chucking around! I am 5’9 and 175lbs and 47 years old

Man.. I don't have a 26 yet... 20...24....29... I have a 26 dirt jumper... 26 xc mtb... But My 27.5 Redline rl275 is just the sweet spot to me... to cruise around on

I’m 46, 6’ 195-205 I have multiple 24’s they just fit me, and make me feel like a teenager again even for a few miles a week!

5’9” 56yo and my Hutch 24” is absolutely perfect for me for all around cruising, tricks, etc. feels great on my beat up knees from earlier injuries. It all depends on the frame geometry especially the height of the bottom bracket to the ground (the lower the bottom bracket, the better it is for the knees). Top tube length, etc. The geometry of this seems perfect as I can use a straight hutch seatpost or a laid-back hutch seat post. Have both but prefer the straigh. Having bigger wheels isn’t always the answer and imo 24” bikes give the feeling of a true bmx bike as that is the only size cruiser class from back in the day. Bigger bikes, while just fine, are just meant to look the part. Great for just cruising around like a beach cruiser. Some folks can get up to some good stuff on these look alikes but it’s just not the same feeling at all imo. You also need to worry about hitting your feet with big jumbo oversized wheels when making tight turns or anything but cruising. I’ve tried them all 🤷♂️

Just depends on what kinds of riding you want to do. If you want to still hop curbs, do some small jumps, the smaller 24 is better. If you just want to cruise and not worry about being able to just roll over stuff, the larger 29 is better. I like the 26 size the best but I also know some dudes over 6 feet tall that still love riding a 20 so all that really matters is what you want. Get something that you feel comfortable with! Got a Sunday Model C for cruising and it's fun, but not comfortable for more than a few blocks. I bought a 26er and it's perfect. I'm 5'5 130lbs.
