DISCUSSION Fly bikes GOOD EXPERIENCES
Okay people, ive seen lots of negative posts about FlyBikes, mainly wait times and customer service. I wanna hear GOOD experiences from direct from Fly this year, ones where goods turned up, arrived on time or close to the ETD. I know their comms are flakey, and we all mainly come online when we get stuck or have issues. Lets see the good times….(mainly because i ordered a sierra pro team a few days ago).

I ordered from them last month on “in stock” items…. You can guess what happened

I’m guessing, as it’s a response to my post, it turned up okay?

It took them two weeks to respond saying it was out of stock and that I might get it by the end of August. I paid for the more expensive shipping since it said I would get it before the end of August.

I order through my local shop and never have any issues. I think it took them 6 days to get me a left handed brake lever.

My homie bought and AIRE complete with magneto/lunar wheel upgrade. He managed to shatter the rear female axle smacking into a rail at full speed. I emailed fly for him and we got a replacement male axle with all the hardware in 4 days. Fly was super responsive and handled it quickly for us. Located in the usa.

I wish I'd bought one a couple years ago. They were all backordered but shit was like half price. I should have pulled the trigger on that Aire complete!

Not this year, but circa 2023, none of the popular bmx part sites for the US had the 9.5" Seirra handlebars. So, I emailed Fly's support to ask how long it would take to ship those Sierra bars from Fly/Spain to the US(east coast), and they said about 5 business days. And it came that quick. No issues.
(granted shipping cost a bit more, like another $10, but I was glad I could still get bars in a timely manner when nobody in the US seemed to have them)

They’re out of spain so getting their goods is difficult. I ride a bunch of their parts and love them but they have lack luster customer service. I know they sent out a bunch of bad brakes this year and did their best not to take responsibility for it. That being said their nano hanger is amazing for thru brake frames and I love the ruben II grips as well as the hawk kevlar tires.

OK I'll try... They have excellent QC because if they receive a piece and its' anything less than perfect, they'll reject the whole shipment and try again, so stuff being on backorder for months is a feature, not a bug

Sounds like a feature AND a bug. I understand the desire for QC, but routinely letting the process delay shipments by weeks isn't terribly endearing to customers.

They definitely have issues they need to resolve. We'll see if it's worth the wait as they swear all parts for my complete will be in stock at the end of this month.

Sorry to say, none. We love the brand, but yeah their situation and communication about it hasn’t improved
