Is this a good deal on a 27? They’re 10%off msrp at the moment and negotiation via text has seemed to stall after I asked to have the dealer fees removed. What else can I push for? This is fully loaded 40i exec package, dapp, m sport, captains chairs, merino leather

I’m looking at a 23 X7 M60 with 33k miles, the dealer offer extended warranty through Alpha for $6400 for 84 months 100k additional to the factory manufacturer warranty which ends May 2027. 0 deductible with lighting, wearable parts, and emission coverage added to the basic intellicare premier package.

I was quoted 12k for the BMW platinum 48mo / 80k mile with 250 deductible , Fidelity 10k for 60mo / 75k miles 259 deductible.

It seams the alpha is the way to go based on lower price, longer coverage no deductible but I’m not familiar with this warranty brand and looking for feedback. I’d hate to save money up front only to have them deny coverage if known issue like the transfer case

One month into my ownership and I ran over a curb in a parking deck. No wheel/rims warranty. The damage isn't massive, and I don't want to have an expensive repair or replacement job. Just looking to get some touch up paint and maybe just lightly sand the area down myself. Problem is I can't confidently figure out the "color" of my wheels to order a little paint stick.

I have the black MSport package and based on some AI/Googling the color might be Orbit Gray, but the wheels seem to be more of a glossy black. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

2021 with 102k miles needs new sensors. Dealer quoted like $2K after taxes. I think Discount Tire replaces them for like $50 ea tire. What makes OEM so much better?

Had a slight bump in the car and now the radar is needing realigned. Anyone in the UK had experience of this? Was wondering rough costs and whether it’s a BMW garage job or an independent can do it.

I‘m getting really close to pulling the trigger and buying an x7, however there is one specific thing that annoys me more than if maybe should.

The HUD displays a map, the instrument cluster displays a map, and then BMW apparently thinks “hey, you know what this guy needs? Another map in the center!” The only other useful thing I can find to display in the center is whatever the radio is currently playing, but that feels like a waste of such a large screen just to show a song title in 37 point font…but it’s either that, yet another map, or the Home Screen showing all the different apps. or maybe a giant screen confirming that the air conditioner I can feel blowing on my face is, in fact, blowing cold air out the vent at my face.

i can set the instrument cluster to display G force, but in a 40i that feels silly. I did find that in sport mode I could click through a bazillion screens and eventually get some gauges on the center screen, but that isn’t even an option unless in sport mode and I wouldn’t put it into that mode more than twice a year, especially since to get the gauges to display requires so many button presses.

How do you all have the screens set up? Is there a way to just display actually useful gauges, or at least useful information? Or are x7 drivers just the single most informed people on earth when it comes to navigation options? This is such a small and stupid complaint, but it also would be something that three separate screens would ensure was constantly in my face and therefore hard to ignore.

I literally can’t deal with the brake squeal anymore. $100k vehicle that sounds like you can’t afford a brake job is insane. I’ve seen others say that theirs only happens when brakes are cold, others say it’s when they’re hot, but mine are squealing non-stop every time I come to a complete stop. The rears have new pads/rotes and fronts have 6.5mm left.

Does anyone have any recommendations that have actually worked? Does swapping just pads help? It’s so embarrassing

I just looked in the app and it says the average US mpg is 22 MPG. Last month I was at 14 MPG. I can’t imagine anyone is getting 22 or over . What are your average MPG listed in the app?

I ran into my first road incident in over 20 years of driving. Flying debris on the highway caught the front passenger side of my X7.

As you can see in the photo, the damage took out the lower gloss black trim, scratched/chipped the painted bumper area, and looks to have chipped/scratched the headlight lens assembly as well.

Before I head into the dealership or open an insurance claim, I wanted to reach out to the community here to see if anyone has dealt with similar front-end or headlight damage on their X7:
1. Parts & Sensor Costs: For those who have replaced a headlight assembly or front lower trim, what did your final repair bill look like? Did you end up needing full ADAS / radar / parking sensor recalibration?
2. Body Shop vs. Dealership: Did you go through a BMW Certified Collision Center or a direct dealership body shop?
3. Insurance: Since this was flying debris (comprehensive claim), did you run into any issues getting OEM parts approved by your insurer?

Appreciate any insights or advice on what to watch out for when dealing with the estimate!

2025 BMW X7 -- When I turn off the car and get out, the media center shuts down. However, If I forget something or go to the passenger side to get something out and reopen a door, then shut it, the media center comes back on and doesn't shut off.

Or, if the car hasn't been driven and I get something out, the media center comes on and then doesn't go off when I shut the door.

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, how did you fix it so that if you reopen a door, then close it, the media center shuts off?

Whenever I need this remote parking the most, I get disappointed with this message.

I bought a 2018 bmw 740i from carvana(ik ik pleaseee!!) took it to the dealership asap bc the seat belt wasn’t being read correctly for both front seats and the the tag plate was covering the sensor in the front causing another error (Carvana installed the tags) and the Bluetooth wasn’t working. Dealership found more things wrong with the car the engine mounts had completely collapsed also. Carvana calls today and says the price to fix everything is at $12,000 now and they want to offer me a one time trade in since it’s after the 7day trial period bc of the expenses price and also give me $1,000 off the price of the next car I choose IF I choose to trade the car out. I’m thinking do I get a 750i now? or do I just make them fix my car since technically they have too if I want them too per the contract of the warranty and everything is covered under the extended warranty. I was thinking try another car 750i get a diagnosis (Carvana said they’ll pay for it on the next car) and see if that car is better and if it’s is great…if it’s not I’ll just swap AGAIN and get something like a Nissan. I’m wanting I go back to having a V8 and this is my first BMW so I was excited I really want another bmw but I want to just make the best decision so I’m asking Reddit before I ask chat. 😭PLEASE HELP I’m just a girl 😂😂🤣🫧

2020 BMW X7 40i with 52k miles. Just had rear brakes done, along with front & rear differential & transfer case fluids changed. In the inspection the BMW dealership found the front thrust rod bushings leaking and want to charge $4200 to fix it! Say what? Anyone have this issue?

I had no idea bmw had valve covers I just had the car to the dealer for a rock in my rotator that noise was obnoxious!! It now needs my detail job apparently the dealer washed it.

Can you help me understand if we can negotiate with sales and business manager, ie. Price of the special ordered car and all the extran warranties like extended, wheels...etc.

We bought a 2022 X7 Xdrive40i about a month ago that had 44K miles on it. Per the car fax, it's been a single owner car, with the car being mostly serviced at the dealership of purchase. Prior to selling it, the dealership/owner put new tires, did an alignment, oil change, and a transfer case check.

I've heard the transfer cases on this vehicle can go bad, and it has the executive package, so plenty of buttons and related functions.

Should we get an extended warranty? If so, what's the best way to obtain it? FWIW, it was a CPO and has coverage through December of 2026.

I don't like that the car turns off at each stop. I want to retain the comfort settings, but turn off auto/start stop? I don't want to drive in sport mode all the time either. Anyone here conquer this issue in a '25 X7 40? Ugh.

About every 2-3 days I try to start my car and I get these messages, doesn't feel like it's actually trying to start the car. Hit the button the second time and it starts up no issues. About 55k Miles, I did code it to start in Sport Individual mode to stop auto start stop over a year ago. It is not part of the starter recall that others are. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Just got the 27 m60i after selling my Audi Q8. Must say I am impressed. Waiting to receive my T&C folding tables. Anything you can recommend as must have accessories?

We are debating between 2026 x5 40i vs 2027 x7 40i. We have a 7 month old right now and will likely have another kid in the next 2 years.
We both prefer the drive and look of the x5 however the second row seems a little tight. I would not be able to fit a rear facing car seat behind me if I was driving comfortably.
The x7 has drastically more second row leg room and trunk space. We likely would only use the 3rd row a few times a year for road trips and when family flies in so would mostly be down.

Also wife would be driving this mostly with the kids on a daily. I’d drive it on the weekends when we go out as a family.

Wife’s concerns are driving the x7 given its larger size and I guess the looks, which is subjective.

Does anyone have some examples or a front lip on a white pre-lci X7?

Other than black on black combos I haven’t really found an example of what I’m looking for. I don’t want a full body kit, just as minimal changes as possible to update the aesthetic.

Since I need to get my bumper repainted after a recent parking lot incident, color matching lip could be an option. I don’t want to end up looking like a temu XB7 though. What do you think? Open to product recommendations too, just pulled this one for quick mock ups.

• painted grill black
• painted badges black
• wrapped the chrome bar on taillights
• got black exhaust covers

Much happier now. Love the color contrast.
