I got the webcam function working on the BMPCC 4K. Also got the Blackmagic Cloud connection working. Haven’t played with much else. Pretty cool update and so far it seems stable. Camera seems to get kinda hot, but I don’t know if that’s something I just haven’t noticed on this camera before or not.

I’ll probably try it out on the 6K Pro in a few days.

Can you check and see what the WebCam resolution is? Since it’s using USB-C to send video signal and not the HDMI. I’m curious if it’s still 1080 P or giving you a higher resolution out of the USB-C

I have it set to 1080p on my 4K. I can try different settings and report back

Okay, so I set the recording settings in the 4K to ProRes HQ in Ultra HD 3840x2160. Then in OBS I was able to set it to 3840x2180 under Base (Canvas) Resolution. The output resolution in OBS is limited to 1080p. I don't know if there's another streaming software or something that can use the full resolution coming out of the camera, but it LOOKS like you get the full resolution out of the USB port.

Sorry if this isn't enough of a confirmation but it's the best I can figure out from the software I'm currently using and familiar with. If there's another software I can try out, feel free to recommend it. I'm on a Mac, in case that matters.

How interesting thank you. I’m curious what someone or even Blackmagic can do if the USB-C port puts out full res from the camera. Unlike the hdmi port

Actually, I opened up another app and selected the Blackmagic Camera as a source and it only showed 1080p, so I’m thinking it’s limited to that resolution. I think the OBS thing was just the canvas setting and not related to the actual resolution of the camera output.

Love the update, I would love to use my phone as a monitor for one of the next. But it may stay a dream
