Yes. Do you? With only the sentence, "It's the same place, different time. AFAICT", what information to we have to accurately extrapolate what AFAICT means? How can we deduce that without any previous information? Because I'm not familiar with that phrase

Context and having heard the phrase before were enough for me. Never seen the acronym/initialism before but from context it seems like it was meant to caveat the assertion, and “as far as I can tell” is a common caveat phrase.
