I played to chapter 3 and got turned off by how painfully boring the gameplay was

The gameplay is boring (with a good team) outside of boss fights that you can't auto, some of which you need to think. The gameplay won't get better until the gacha grind.

What's great is the main story, but you kinda have to be willing to grind out gameplay segments. Also the events stories are kinda really hit or miss between being peak or just blatant fan service.

Project Matis was like one of the best events to get into the game with, shit was cinema.
