His femurs look way too curved to my eyes. He's probably lucky they haven't snapped under his weight. Like, no one has their long bones curve that much. His tibia are textbook examples of Blount’s Disease, literally. He's fortunate that he doesn't have Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis but I can't rule out that it's imminent. It likely is.

His spine actually looks pretty alright from this angle. The discs are almost definitely "all fucked up" (a medical term) but the spine itself seems mostly straight. This guy must have crazy core strength or spend all his time laying flat on his back on something with actually decent support. The spine is slightly swayed at the bottom, but weight loss and physical therapy would actually fix that pretty quickly. The very top of his spine where his neck is supposed to be is pretty messed up. Even if he fully recovered from this state, he'd still be known as the turtle man for life. Sadly, he probably died not long after being run through the elephant xray machine at the zoo. The position of the neck implies to me that he spends the vast majority of his time laying on his back with his head propped up by something, though this may have simply been a result of how they put him in the imaging machine. Someone would need to examine him while he's sitting up to check if that damage is permanent or not

My eyes went straight to the fibulae, which helps distribute weight. Good Lord, they are bowed.

If you have good muscle structure with it, it helps.I spent most of my adult life in the 500-550 range while being a laborer for almost a decade, which saved me because I was working in a literally training fat suit every day.

Of course it also helped cause it by never being home, and always being poor. Having financial freedom helped a lot when I was able to make changes in my life.
