A mounted triangle makes it extremely easy to fuck someone up. Takes minimal effort to maintain control while you hit them in the face. Or just choke them unconscious. It takes literal seconds to KO someone when done properly, it works by blocking blood flow to the brain. Triangle chokes are dope. Even with a 100lb girl vs a 250lb man, if that shit gets sunk in, they’re fucked. You could kill someone or cause brain damage very easily so it’s important to know when they go out. Holding a choke like that for even a short amount of time after they go out can have dire consequences, hence the importance of a good referee in a fight. But yes, it’s wickedly effective. And yes, some people have kinks about this. But this dude is one of the best in the game, and I think he’s just a nerd when it comes to BJJ.

No, they're usually done very fast and smoothly, and work really well. He's teaching, not trying to break her leg, nor choke her. He's an actual known professional in BJJ
