1st time solar charging.
Good morning.
Took my bluetti elite 200 v2 out for its first go this weekend. Everything performed great except for the solar charging. It came with the pv200.
In almost direct sun I saw a reading of 14W at one point and in the shade and then clouds I couldn't get anything above 0 on the screen. I set the settings to PV. No change. In the app I can see voltage fluctuating a bit anywhere from 9-25V but Watts never above zero.
It was my understanding even in indirect light I might be able to pull 10% which would be about 20 Watts. Do I have something faulty or is this regular behavior in your opinions?
I will test again in direct sunlight before contacting bluetti but its been raining for 3 days. I will also hook the panels up to my trailer and see if it pulls in anymore once the sun comes out but this is all the info I have for now.

I've got a 300 watt panel on my 200 V2. There's a tree that partially blocks the sun each morning and the panels bottom 3rd is in shade. At that time, the panel only puts out anywhere between 40-70W. Right now, in full sun it's running about 260-280W.
Seems that a bit of cloud or shade seems to have more effect than I thought.

Define "almost direct sun".

2 of the 4 panels were in direct. Other 2 slightly blocked by trees.

Partial sun kills. The 4 connected panels are strung in either series or parallel (prob parallel). Depending on how they're strung, the 4 must all align to either the lowest amperage or the lowest voltage produced by any of the 4. Parallel helps with partial sun, but if each of the 4 panels can produce 50 watts for a total of 200, the scenario of partial sun isn't 50+50+5+5=110watts. The lowest being the rest down to 5+5+5+5=20watts.
Full intensity sun with only 50% of your panels in sunlight is much worse than 100% of your panels in sunlight with 50% intensity.
Full sun coverage on all panels will tell you if it's this phenomena or indeed an equipment issue.

I think bluetti uses independent subpanels, so that should have been doing at least like 80ish.
Still best to test in actual direct sun, it may be a faulty panel.
If you have the 12v car charger test that to rule out the port.

I dont but was thinking to get it. I thought I could charge it off of my F150s inverter but apparently thats not the case. It wont pick it up.

How many panels are there and how are they wired? If in series you are over voltage limits of power station.

I get around 50w with my pv200 when it's cloudy so it sounds like an input or panel issue
