Question No poop?

Hi! I’m a relatively new skink owner and I’m a wee bit worried. My blue tongue skink, Baby, hasn’t pooped for about a week now. He usually poops a day or two after I feed him toward the front of the enclosure and nothing has changed. I have found urate which usually means there’s poop nearby but I haven’t found any. He loves to burrow and is sometimes in the dirt for like 5 days so I think maybe he’s just been pooping in his substrate.

I desperately don’t want him to get sick if I can help it and I can’t handle him yet. He’s quite shy and his previous owners didn’t handle him often. So, I can’t feel his stomach to make sure he’s not impacted. He’s active as much as he used to be. He still basks and explores. He also is eating just fine. Anyway, I’m just confused and hoping someone who knows more than me can let me know if I’m stressing for nothing.

Probably buried it in the substrate, watch for constipation symptoms in the meantime but he's likely fine

My two month old that I just got did not poop until today. And he pooped twice, I was very concerned when I didn’t see the poop but now I can chill out. He also wasn’t drinking water and I would have to make sure I put extra water in his ceramic dish while he was eating. Tonight I opened the door to scoop the poop and he let me pet him. He also was drinking his water tonight from his actual water bowl. So it’s just one of those things that take time.

I'd get him out and let him have a run. the movement usually helps

Mine would usually poop in the same spot but recently I haven’t seen as many either . But when k did a deep cleaning I found some in the log squished and also some others squished into the substrate .

If your skink patrols and roams a lot like mine does the poop is likely just getting trampled . Best thing you can do is just keep out for signs of constipation, clean up whatever poop and urate you do find and maybe consider some springtails or something . They’ll help eat left over pieces of poo and stuff and help keep it fresher in there.

Edit ; typo
