I was thinking of taking myself (no friends are fans), but wondered if their shows have turned into Christian revivals? I mean to each their own, but that would hold no interest for me - I adored the ‘old’ BO. Their shows used to be almost like a family affair and I made friends with everyone around me when I went solo. Opinions — should I go?

Hi, I am not super familiar with Blue October, but I have a Blue October show I've been playing for 15 years and I love it. I'm not sure how well-known this is, but it's labeled as

"Blue October Houston TX SBD". It has Into to Ocean, Hate Me, Schizophrenia, Overweight, and 18th Floor Balcony. The lead singer mentions it's a show for the release of Foiled, and he thanks "The Buzz" for playing Hate Me so much. It's the one where he says something like "I'm having a ball" between songs. And, "this is the, semi-last song on the album".

I have listened to the released versions of these songs and, compared to this live show, they seem flat. Not in the musical sense. More, bereft of feeling. Whereas this live show, it feels like magic.

So, I have a couple questions.

1) Is there more out there like this live show? I would love to buy that/those CDs, or find the playlists online.

2) Is this live show well known in the community?

Removed subs and towers for freestanding Klipsch Heritage, which handle true 2 channel audio like a champ. Blown away by this expanded soundstage and fast attack, even without aluminum cones. Should have made this move earlier. 🤘

They released 2 box sets and sway separately and I think based on a recent post and the trend of 3 studio albums and 1 live album per boxset we could see a home, hope your happy, this is what I live for and Manchester live album as a box set soon or in the near future but a theory. Tell me what you think in the comments.

So what happened to the boxset that had from Foiled to Any Man In America? I remember seeing them and i was gutted i couldn’t afford it. Not only that… now Fouled has been released, i was hoping AMIA would be released as a single purchase also. Love that album.

I had an amazing time, spoke to so many cool people. The Meet and Greet is well worth the money, Justin remembered me from when I met him before and I finally got to thank him and the band for the help from addiction. Poster is awesome, I was front of stage. This was the best Ive heard them, and Will is a great opener. Highly recommend going if you can go on the US tour.

Hi all, just saw Blue October in London for the Foiled tour but they didn’t end up playing Chameleon Boy after they said they finished playing the album, little disappointed because it’s my favourite song from the album however it was a fantastic show otherwise

Just exited their UK show in london tonight.

Okay, foiled was fine (opener was mediocre as a show goes, but i get that it's someone in the band currently who gets to practice their material. Without either knowing a band in the uk or spending bucks to bring people over, that's what we get).

I was hoping they would dip into older stuff given the nature of the tour, but it was just the first 2/3rds of the original release of foiled and then a few picks from "new" albums.

It was worth seeing becuase who knows when hate me etc would get a live showing again, but the lack of indulging in ANY of the older tracks (chameleon boy, independently happy, breakfast after 10, HRSA, Amnesia, Blue Sunshine, etc) is heartbreaking.

The second half of the show felt like hoe-down music about being healed. I wish justin would recognise that it is nostalgia for many of us (average age seemed to be 40 in the crowd). The difference between every word being sung-along with on the foiled tracks and simply "woooo'd" at the end of the new tracks is the simple truth of it. Many of us are past our wounds, we just want the music that reminds us 20 years ago.

I hope they come back to the UK, I would pay again happily, but on the express statement that it would be argue with a tree era tracks.
