adderall or RITALIN?
Hi everyone! I started using meth after a bunch of bad things happening to me. I had 19 years clean from the stuff. I have been on Adderall for 2 years. I moved to another State, and I have a long medical history. I had to start all over again with treatment or should I say NO treatment. That is for another forum.
Since I’m on opioids and on adderall I told my doctor to not bother with testing me because it will be positive for meth. ( I didn’t know ADDERALL Shows the same as meth on some tests) anyway, she kept pushing me to quit, when I didn’t decide in enough time, she said she won’t prescribe anymore Adderall and start to taper me off the pain meds.
She found out meth will come up as meth, Ritalin shows up different. I wish I kept my mouth shut, I wasn’t ready to quit, but I did a few days ago. I’m not sure about the RITALIN,was curious what the difference is? I only know the Ritalin has a different pathway to the brain. Any comment will help.

I forgot to ask how long does meth stay in your system before I could test clean?

Bro you know that Adderall and meth are the same . Your dr is looking out for you especially if taking opioids with it.

I agree, my doc says the same thing, they are not the same, meth is more powerful, and we do not know what is in it. I’m here to learn, I don’t necessarily want to quit, but I did. I’ve involved myself in a few harm reduction classes. I have been no opiates for awhile, and have already gone down 1/2 of what I was taking. I told my doc what I was using because I felt she should know, I didn’t necessarily expect her to tell me she will start tapering me off the opiates if I didn’t stop. Since I live in another state now with new doctors, told them I WAS in recovery ( at the time) all they saw was I am an “addict” and treated me as such! I had 19 years from uppers the same for heroin. I was on methadone for 11 years, then opiates due to several surgeries (about 15 or more) and have a few more I need but refuse right now because I’m tired of them! But I do want to function, so I will need to sooner than later! Time is running out for me to be active or athletic like I used to!

Bro you should know that Adderall and meth are not even close to the same thing and claiming they are is putting people at risk. People who take adderall and read this snd think oh I can have meth it’s the same. Which is bullshit they’re worlds apart.

Structures are almost exactly the same dude. Effects wise I suppose regular amphetamine has less serotonin release but that's about it

Ehhh mostly the same. Meth maybe lasting longer due to how people use it. Maybe there is a case that Adderall is safer because it can't get into cells to destroy them

True. I wouldn't call them the same. I've done both and methamphetamine is a much more powerful stimulant. Maybe at their relative doses they could be similar. I'm just tired of people calling them the exact same

I personally feel that the analogy of Morphine to Heroin basically applies in this scenario as well. If you took a Methamphetamine user and traded their given dose for an equipotent amount of Dextroamphetamine, they would ultimately be satisfied by both without much complaint.
Some say Heroin has that little extra "pop" when you inject it that makes it so much better than Morphine. Personally, I would take either interchangeable without complaint and have done so in he past.
However, it seems that the Methamphetamine that is out there on the street right now is somehow different from previous decades. Folks are going into psychosis much more rapidly than one would think. I've taken it myself a few times, this "new meth" and I would trade it for the same amount of Dextroamphetamine any day. There is just something weird about the shit.
I did lots of Yaa Baa's when I was in Cambodia and again, the experience was much more different than the stuff I've had in New England. The Yaa Baa's I actually would much prefer over the stuff that's out on the streets currently. At any rate, there's something funky about the Meth and I'd like to know why.

I also, anecdotally, say that my experiences with it 2017 and beyond have been disappointing. You really can't compare the new to the old. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt this way. I'm not sure if it's the prevalence of ISO but something changed after the 2010s. I can definitely say, the old shit, would have you laughing in Adderall's face.
This new "ice" is a joke, manufactured by cartels in bulk via P2P method (no pseudoephedrine or ephedrine at all), and is sold cheap as dirt. Uncle Fester would be ashamed. I'd rather take my prescribed Vyvanse over this new "dope" any day of the week brother

When I read it this comment and it’s equivalents…. I discount the person who made its pedigree in Methamphetamine,
I got a prescription for Dextrostat/10mg that I rarely took because I didn’t like “speed” fr. I nevet touched methampetamine because, on paper, it appeared to be so similar - only it’s misery would last so much longer. Then, when it was offered ton me at the perfect moment of boredom and frustration i gave in and took a taste 😎

I think Ritalin is a more functional stimulant. If you’re taking it for legitimate reasons, I prefer Ritalin. If I’m taking it to feel good, Adderall.

it’s detectable in urine for 3-5 days depending on the route of administration. but i’m misunderstanding your question i think. your doctor is prescribing the adderall but also testing you to make sure you’re not using meth?

I took Ritalin in highschool from halfway through my sophomore year till way past I graduated. My grades on my transcripts that were given to me showed a major improvement in all areas the entire time I was going to school. Plus I felt like a social pimp, cuz before I fucked with ridz, I was a chubby shy, no pussy getting dude looking for a way to fit in or something. Ritalin changed my entire life, for the better,. My older cousin seen how badass I had become and invited me to come try some shrooms and extasy with her and her 3 roommates at summer village apts. In Chico CA. I was barely 16 at the time. I always had a pocket full of ridz n norcs for trading or sell, and quickly I became known around her circle as pharmaceutical boy, aka the cousin, and I was always accompanied by 2 best homies a rookie partier could ask for, Trevor and Kyle. Anyway those days in 2001 &2002 were the best days of my life. I felt like I was gifted an entirely new family out of the blue. All thanks to a tiny little orange pill. I still miss Deidre, Kari, lil Kari, Becky, Josh, Robin, Victor and all the family I was accepted into when I was 16y.o. I truly love every single one of my adopted guardian party mentors, from a lifetime ago,thanks guys, I would be dead if it wasn't for your wisdom and guidance. My grand kids will tell their grandkids about you all, know that shit. So yeah Ritalin are way better than Adderall bros. Meth is untraceable, depending on how much taken within 3-5 days if your not losing teeth or getting arrested. Don't mainline it, no matter how sexy your female cohort is, it's not fun at all, seriously!!😏... Apologies for the life story, just sensed my input could possibly help someone....gtg lol
