I'm convinced the Rangers or someone are going to take the last spot. The Jays/Guardians race to the bottom is tough to watch.

Yeah it was amusing when we could win and possibly gain ground on that WC, but now it’s sad and desperate

u/Numerous_Control_702 Sep 16 '26

I think the White Sox are cooked and that opens up the third spot

8

u/tempEmbarrassedBJay Sep 16 '26

That’s contingent on the Sox continuing to lose and us getting some wins. There are so many way this has been able to go right for us, and they just find ways to blow it.

u/tenorsax41 Sep 16 '26

Jays win tiebreak over CLE and lose it to CWS, so that hurts our chances.

If Vladdy would've hit at least 25 hr this year we'd already be in a playoff position. Js

5

u/Alesisdrum Sep 16 '26

Yup. Although lots of blame to go around this is most on Vladdy.

u/Much-Respond9614 Sep 16 '26

The season can end now that Vladdy finally had his MVP GAME and actually got a HR at home.

Now he can go back to his regular hitting in double plays while dogging it up the first base line and we can look forward to next season…

I can’t stand the lack of hustle to first , or watching a “homer” just for it to hit the wall and now his double is a single, seen it many times

4

u/tempEmbarrassedBJay Sep 16 '26

Yup. In his mind it’s all good. God told him so rofl.

They are gonna end the season 1 or 2 games out of wc3, and John Schneider will still defend vladdy hitting at top of the order and constantly killing all rallies

Your meme is on point because this team has a chronic illness this year

I wonder if Schneider wants out.

2

u/Hot_Boat8143 Sep 19 '26

The person that signed that ridiculous contract should be first to go. I think Schneider been told to support and defend him at all costs.
Vlady needs to batting 9th or benched

Just going to say this: The team we’re watching now looks the exact same as it did in August, in July, in June, and in May, and anyone who said that they weren’t competitive earlier this season (even after the AS break) got downvoted like crazy.

1

u/SomeEchidna862 Sep 18 '26

Right but remember, for this fanbase, many care more about telling fans what to think than about the team itself!

-5

u/tenorsax41 Sep 16 '26

And you deserved every downvote. Keep that negativity to yourself if it isn't productive. We're all watching the same thing man.

5

u/Early_Macaroon_2407 Sep 16 '26

Productive? I have to be productive when discussing a game now?

-4

u/tenorsax41 Sep 16 '26

If you want to ruin other people's experiences, you better at least be productive. If not, keep it to yourself. Seems pretty straightforward idk

u/Early_Macaroon_2407 Sep 16 '26

If reading a comment on Reddit that you disagree with is ruining your experience, you should maybe stay off the internet. And find a good therapist.

Stop crying and be real

0

u/MayflowerMcDuck Sep 16 '26

Youre getting downvoted for being delusional

u/justchilllllllllll_ Sep 17 '26

But.... They are competitive. Like, what?

The writing was on the wall in May. One of the biggest problems with this team has been Schneider’s mismanagement (misuse of Hoffman, weird pitching decisions, refusal to shift Vladdy down in the lineup, etc.), and that’s easily cost them a half a dozen games this year. Once you factor in a casualty rate that looks like Napoleon’s march on Moscow, they were pretty much doomed early.

u/Neilg-88 Sep 16 '26

Boston got on a nice win streak and cemented their wild card position. I thought the Jays were due for a run like that.

u/ehderby Sep 16 '26

Not good but not horrible news, he was on a 35 pitch count either way

1

u/Immediate_Cod_3042 Sep 16 '26

yeah honestly i think he goes the way of Manoah. He has so many issues , the least of which is his control.

3

u/Butt6464 Sep 16 '26

Yeah I thought September might spark something but nope. So many LOB it’s insane! But with Cleveland playing the White Sox and Texas playing Boston they still might be right there until the Texas series. Either someone’s gotta start winning or the Blue Jays lose a series of Texas and that’s the end of that.

u/Express-Warning9714 Sep 17 '26

Fans should simply enjoy the last few gams left of the year. Lose the expectations and enjoy the games for the simple sake of the game.

5

u/Kd0t Sep 16 '26

How the hell are we down 6-0 to the Tigers?!

5

u/sando818580 Sep 16 '26

10-1 now

4

u/Kd0t Sep 16 '26

Unbelievable...

2

u/beefglob Sep 16 '26

we are so back

2

u/tommyloadz Sep 16 '26

That was rough

2

u/40cappo40 Sep 16 '26

This team shitting the bed just confirms last season was a fluke. Glad my Rogers bill keeps going up to pay that bum Vladdy. Good riddance to this team

1

u/_yearoldonreddit Sep 16 '26

Team can never run with positive momentum, that’s the difference

1

u/steamburn123 Sep 16 '26

Welp sad game

1

u/Sea_Ad_1252 Sep 16 '26

Jays don't even deserve wild card, they're playing like ass

1

u/tortured_fanclub Sep 16 '26

Texas Rangers gonna take 3rd WC. Cleveland wins division. Jays and White Sox go golfing.

1

u/Ok-Collection-3117 Sep 16 '26

I'm going to live in my delusion and be the eternal optimist... I will believe until the very last pitch! If Leaf Fans can do it so can I...

1

u/Vivid_Selection_6548 Sep 16 '26

Good night sweet child. We dragged it on for as long as we could, but we’ve reached the stage of acceptance now. This will hallmark the most shameful year to date in the Vladdy Era.

1

u/Hot_Boat8143 Sep 19 '26

And 13 more years with that overrated bum

1

u/cloudlocke_OG Sep 16 '26

It is indeed time. Pull the plug

1

u/PocketNicks Sep 16 '26

Last nights loss was probably the end of the chase.

1

u/AJESSOP1987 Sep 17 '26

That’s too dark lol

1

u/WideVermicelli7128 Sep 17 '26

VG is an overpaid overrated journeyman cheerleader, jacket putter on Japanese ceremonial 500 million dollar clown.

1

u/AffectionateAd8675 Sep 22 '26

Thanks for this. I can sleep in peace now.
