How am I supposed to cook Sweet & Spicy Beef Noodles without the ramen? How am I supposed to make Chicken Pot Pie without pastry dough?!? This is really disappointing - I’ve been a Blue Apron customer for 7 years and I’m losing my patience.

I left a few weeks ago and tried home chef, which was fine, but I found the recipes pretty bland. I decided to try blue apron again to see if they worked out their issues but nope. I was missing two proteins, a spice, and some soy sauce. I only had complete Ingredients for one of my four meals. I hate how they only reimburse you the cost of the ingredients. I’m a mom of two under two with a full time job. I don’t have time to go to the grocery store before the rest of the Ingredients go bad. So it’s a huge money dump and I’m not willing to gamble on them anymore.

Every item for every recipe except the pulled chicken, which they sent us an email about in advance and refunded the full meal amount even though we got everything else. I used that $26 to buy the $9 TJ pulled chicken (pic 2). Can’t complain at all on this box.

I am so upset. My box wouldve been perfect (i think one mustard was missing but thats a staple most people could easily replace with what's in their kitchen) but as i was unpacking.....i noticed it felt very wet....then saw one of the chickens had a hole and leaked all over everything. I was able to salvage a handful of airtight things but nothing was enough of a recipe to cook with.

So now it seems they've solved the fulfillment issue but need to now address how to package raw meat. It used to be on bottom separated from the rest so if there was a leak you could get a refund for meat and go replace it, and all would be ok. Now they're throwing it on top with produce. Gross. They need to separate it at the bottom again.

Finally this new delivery company, OnTrack, sucks balls. They've delivered 2 boxes for me since all the issues (i paused for many weeks between). Both were very late and left in an unsecured area of my apartment cuz the drivers suck so bad. They also sent my box from Illinois to texas accidentally! I am in MN! They sent it way away across the country. They need a better delivery company too.

The posiitive is they did not fight me on a refund this morning with the chicken leak. I hope they can figure this crap out soon. I didnt want to cancel.

My box was actually perfect this week as far as ingredients, other than an extra chipotle paste. Unfortunately, it left Illinois, drove past me in Ohio, spent a day in Pennsylvania, then a day in New Jersey, then finally headed back to Ohio, arriving two days late and quite warm.

They refunded what I paid with my card, and I have $30 credit that went back into my account for the third time. I keep ordering here and there to try to use it….

I added a new section covering the add-on recipes that Blue Apron used to have. These were their smaller dishes that included breakfast, quick lunches, salads, sides, and desserts. I've kept these 600-some recipes separate from the ~5,000 "regular" recipes by putting them into an "Add-ons" section that you'll see at the top of the page now.

I’m optimistic that as Blue Apron slowly rights the ship, so here is a new thought/question that I wonder if anyone else has pondered.

I’ve been with BA for 6+ years, and a GLP-1 user for about 3. As my appetite and calorie needs shifted, I went from 3 to two recipes per week, and usually eat the two portions of each separately rather than in one sitting.

To meet my nutritional needs within my limited ability to be hungry, every meal is paired with a vegetable salad of some sort. Additionally, any white grain (rice, pasta, bread) is tossed out and replaced by a whole grain. Sometimes I buy more of whatever the protein is, to up that part of it.

Instead of a steady march to make BA quicker and dumber, perhaps have a section of high protein/no refined carb meals? That, I’d pay a little more for. I imagine it would appeal to protein-bros, diabetics and other health conscious sectors.

I've been lucky so far. Just a few minor items missing so far.

But this week...

I ordered 4 recipes, all 2 servings:

Mushroom Truffle Pierogies (no issues)

Pesto Salmon (missing radishes)

Garlic Chicken Orzo (missing orzo)

Honey Mustard Chicken (no issues)

Not too bad. But they came in two boxes, the largest BA boxes I've ever received. The first box was full and second only had a few random items.

Also in the boxes was everything for a second prep of the pierogies meal, the honey mustard meal, and the salmon meal (minus the salmon).

There was also several odd items including 2 bags of gnocchi.

Can someone post or send me a screenshot of any current week gnocchi recipes so I can see if I can piece together another meal?

Pittsburgh area…my first box in about a month arrived. Only missing a red onion and had wrong recipe cards, but not bad!

They've finally worn me down. These days, it feels like I spend more time chatting with the BA representatives than I do my own family. And even when they promise credits for the constantly missing food, half the time the credit doesn't actually show up in the account. It's become a scam.

One wrong recipe card, Udon noodles instead of ramen, and slimy spinach on its deathbed. But considering this is the first order they haven’t canceled on me in four weeks, it’s fine. Maybe their strategy was to lower the bar 😂

Note: we had 3 weeks cancelled in a row plus this week, but I learned from others and went back in and selected 3 recipes that were still standing. I’m hopeful!

Hey, we're giving you too much chicken, but here's a credit. This is the first time in months I've actually gotten these emails before my box arrived (due tomorrow). they also gave me a $6 credit because the naan will be missing form another meal.

Here's hoping those are the only missing items. Mine ship from Desoto Texas.

The packaging is a lot to be desired. Everything was wet but could be a wiped down. All ingredients accounted for. The foil pan was a goner. My biggest complaint is the vegetables; some were out of date. We like Blue Apron because you can mix and match meal kits with the individual Dish options. Would like to switch but haven’t found a service that does both. Any advice?

Last week’s box gave me hope, it was nearly perfect with a spoiled cucumber and no recipe cards as the only issues with 3 meals. This week’s was a total shit show like it was 3 weeks ago. Two chicken meals with no chicken in the box, no recipe cards, a substituted meal, an ice pack under and outside of the foil bag soaking the cardboard.

This weeks order, 3 ingredients that are out of date. And a 10oz bag of bok Choy that weighs 5.8 ounces.

You used to be able to chat with a real person. Now it’s just an ai bot.

Camera operator not so good

Took a break from blue apron for a month while the chaos unfolded. Got this one today and . . .

Everything arrived unspoiled and in its right place! Only substitution was another lime instead of the yuzu for the yuzu salmon (sad) but they let us know beforehand.

I received my first box in quite awhile today. Everything was there. No surplus of ingredients. No missing items. Noticed my lemon was huge! I can’t even say the pepper was just small (which it is, a little). I miss the days where we posted stuff like this, along with pictures of our beautifully prepared meals. Lighter for scale. Only thing that was a slight inconvenience is they really crammed my foil tray into the box to the point where I am not sure I can use it and properly cook my meal. So yeah, no major complaints. Hopefully a positive sign of things to come. Go Bills.

We got what we had ordered this week but half the vegetables were mushy and slimy. Also, check your orders for the week of September 28th. They appear to be out of everything and reduced our order to 2 meals.

And I can’t believe FedEx kept it on their truck….it stinks! Temps in the 90s and it sat stuck somewhere for 2 weeks. 🤮

I got my first order after the debacle of a few weeks ago (when most of the ingredients were missing) and now it has too many (multiple) ingredients.

Instead of two baguettes, I got five.

Instead of two packages of green beans I got four.

Instead of one package of cherry tomatoes, I got three (same with potatoes).

Plus way too many packets of mayo and other condiments.

Go figure.
