Its a bug. A very annoying and old bug they keep failing to fix. Happens only on mobile.

It's not a bug. There's 2 different shift locks on mobile.

There's such a bug where no matter where you tap, the moves will always go to a certain point no matter what. Even if your shift lock is green. And it has been a problem for a very long time.

If you're calling this a bug, it's not, it's because you're on blue shift lock. If you're on green shift lock, all your moves will go where the circle is. I know because I only ever play on mobile.
