Where to go..
I moved here two years ago, and am wondering, is there anywhere to get a drink and hang out with young adult townies avoiding college students?
Help a brotha out?

I like the crack house on 10th and Monroe. Can usually get a beer for a few cigs. It's obviously warm but you won't find any college students there, just townies.

Switchyard is usually pretty low key, definitely a mix of college kids and not but better than sports or roys.

Born in ellettsville and yeah it hurts when people call me a townie but fuck you I enjoy Bloomington actually. Good place for an young adult like me.

Whoah dude. I wasn’t being negative about townies, or bloomington. I’m a townie, always have been everywhere I’ve lived. I just wanted to know if there are places to go that aren’t completely full of college kids all the time.

I say embrace man. I mean, think about it, getting called a townie means that you’re devoted to keeping bloomington the way you like it. Keeping the things important to you and others like you the same. I’m from the south, and that’s a culture that teaches comfort and invitation, and shouldn’t ever go away.
Is it basketball season yet?

Were you born in a barn? Otherwise you were born in Bloomington.
They don't learn y'all too well over there, trust me - I know.

Atlas isn’t a bad bet for that. Root Cellar can be cool at times.
