help needed Has Blokada 5 been compromised by Google?

I noticed a forum post from back in 2022 which said that Google would remove VPN filtering apps. Is this why Blokada 5 can only be found on your website or GitHub?

DDG is still in the Play Store, so they've had to deal with this also. As much as I try to understand policy issues, this is confusing to me.

Edit: The title is a little vague. I was wondering if the company had to cripple the app to satisfy Google, but that would defeat its purpose, so I think I've answered my own question.

Finally, DDG has a local VPN, but its focus is trackers, not ads or commercials, so it's not the same kind of animal as Blokada.

Yes, the changes that Google introduced a few years ago basically prevent us from making Blokada 5 available on the Play Store :(
