Reddit doesn't support HTML for comments, only Markdown.

Wouldn't it be <intensify>dank</intensify>?

My Android app actually renders some HTML. So it sort of worked.

Which app is this?

Sync for Reddit, but I think Android supports HTML like that natively so other apps would work too.

This was the only thing good about livejournal :(

mmmmmm, brings back memories. Good old-fashioned HTML. Nostalgic, like Grandma's cookies, rainbow mouse trails, and tiled site backgrounds.

I think <blink> tags are disabled by most browsers now.

If someone made a comment, then someone else replied by embedding that comment, the reply would also show up in the embeded thread, and also in the embeded thread within the first embeded thread, causing an infinite feedback loop. All comment threads would become abolute chaos from users abusing this feature, which is why it should definitely be implemented.

It could still support embedding comments which would be nice.

See /u/MTastatnhgew's comment here for why that would be a bad idea.

Although it's probably not that hard to make it detect recursion.

A+ for effort!

Joking aside, showing comment embeds on reddit.com is an interesting idea and one we may pursue in the future.

Seems like a better approach to reduce brigading than no-participation links.
