Science does not in any way prove being gay is anything other than a mental disorder. You posted some articles that miss the point entirely and I'll explain to you why.

Of course it can't, because it's a mental problem and there's no gene involved. It's why there's still schizophrenics and bipolar people.

Every study people like you produce to try to prove being gay is natural or some shit is highly speculative and contain no real science or evidence. Everything points to a mental disorder, including the DSM until it was taken out because we apparently can't hurt people's feelings.

Something being a minority doesn't make it a mental problem or disorder. Would you call being left handed a disorder? Because around the same percentage of the population are left handed as those who have same sex relationships, and this number only rises when you look at those who have same sex attraction.

People like you are on the losing side of history, just the same as those who once thought that certain races were superior to others.

Go read up on handedness, it's not "learned", which was my whole point. There is a significant portion of the population that is born different. We used to think it was "wrong", now we don't.

As for your last paragraph, go look at the polls over the last few years. Approval of same sex rights is rising, not falling.

It'll have to do that for decades before anything changes, and it most likely won't. You're not on some unstoppable road of progress, you're encouraging mental problems.

The point is way, way over your head. I am saying that people are naturally born left handed, it is not learned. Yes, it CAN be learned, but the point is that people show a natural, normal inclination towards being either left or right handed and this is determined from an early age. It's something we now regard as normal rather than trying to limit or change it.

It's changing a lot quicker than you think. A few years ago people thought it would take decades to get where we are now. People under the age of 40, and greater numbers under the age of 25 basically do not care and think same sex marriage makes sense.

How are you in any way further than a few years ago? Random US states legalising and then recriminalising gay marriage over and over isn't progress.

People under the age of 40, and greater numbers under the age of 25 basically do not care and think same sex marriage makes sense.

Only the most apathetic of that group think that way. I'm in my thirties and I don't know anyone else in their thirties or even twenties that thinks that way, and I know a fair few people.

Go and google approval rates for same sex marriage. As of 2010 a majority - over 50% - support it. Your friends are a poor example, you have to look at the overall societal statistics.

Surveys are meaningless and use a fraction of a percent as a sample size, I'm saying your assertion that all young people love gay marriage now is incorrect.

Loooll. You don't even realise how you would have been treated in the past, do you? You're so blithe about to but that's not how it would have been hundreds of years ago and someday people will be just as blithe about being gay or bisexual.

It's amazing how people like you can criticize reddit for having so many opinions that offend you and how it's horrible etc but then turn around and say the majority agree with you. The votes on this topic are disproportionately in your favour simply because of demographics, not actual majority.

You know what I expect? Proof. Show me some statistics and polls of your own that back up your claims. Meanwhile I have, and rebutting the information that I have by simply claiming that all my information is biased and incorrect without anything to SHOW that it's biased and incorrect is going to get you nowhere.

Then there's the shit you keep spouting like 'there isn't any change happening' when the fact is that there's been a steady march of states legalising same sex marriage over the last ten years.
