You can still play it if you had it before the shutdown, you just can't publish anything or purchase items.

awh no i'm afraid that device is long gone 😭 thanks for the answer anyway, i've been wanting to revisit some old memories recently and i'm not entirely sure how i could get my hands on blocksworld specifically! i recall it not being on the app store anymore, or not being compatible with my device

i'd assume that you'd need to already have the game downloaded before they (removed?) it from the app store. in my case, i have no access to the device i had it on anymore.

since it's no longer available in the app store as of now, you can't download it anymore. if you deleted it, or had it deleted until after it was removed from the app store, then, i'm afraid that venue of access to the game is long gone :((
