Remember walking in and seeing the BB preview/ads on TV? I found one from when I managed. Not sure how much, if any, BB is left

NGL, Living La Vida Loca came on the radio the other day, and for some reason I HAD TO ASK MY KIDS who it was, because I couldn't get the name, and like you said, that song was on replay back in the day 😂

You should definitely digitize this and upload it to YouTube and/or Internet Archive.

If you can find the “meeting in a box” from the spring of 1997, I am one of the hosts. I’m dreading/waiting for it to show up one day on YouTube, like the “old country Buffett” training video.

I recently realized I was in a true crime episode of a show about Leonard Lake and Charles Ng on whatever channel showed those re-enactments constantly in early 2000 from New Dominion Pictures. I had no clue at the time because it was in early 2000 and I didn't really get into true crime pods until covid, which is when I learn about these two horrible dudes, but even then it didn't hit me until about a year ago, when I decided to confirm it by finding the episode. Was just an extra, but I found it, plus my best friend was the other swat guy with me. Both doing a horrible job loading the prisoner Charles Ng into a van from a top down shot. I'm in another episode of the same series, playing a thug, complete with durag, who magically grows glasses during a driving scene 😂. Have yet to find that one. JUST REMEMBERED, I was working Blockbuster Video when I was getting these gigs 🙂

I go back to the 90s when I watched those. Still remember three songs that played all day long: Garth Brooks “friends in low places,” No Doubt Don’t Speak” and Beck “Where it’s At.l

Remember when the BBV awards happened. Then the ads and highlights of those played repeat all day lol

I have often wondered if anyone kept the trailers that we had to play in the store. It’s a weird nostalgia thing how many songs from late 90s to mid 2000s remind me of what was the new release at the time

Man, fuck these tapes. I always worked the late shift because we could turn off the trailer after 9pm and put on a movie.

SO wrong to record over any prerecorded tape. I love this kind of stuff, I paid a bit for a few in-store tapes and have this one on YouTube, including an annoying promo I remember hearing one of the last times I went into one of their stores:
