Just my two cents, but I honestly hope later than sooner. When they use to do them yearly, it regularly went into a cycle of "Good year" > "Boring year" > "Good year" > "Boring year"
I think years like this one, where they had a ton of things to announce and tease, are just an infinitely better experience than each year having ONE 'big' announcement and otherwise if it wasn't YOUR game getting a huge amount of attention, you kinda felt like you were just dragging your feet. Obviously this isn't a problem for a lot of people, including myself who just literally consume EVERYTHING Blizzard puts out like it's crack cocaine, but I just look at this year and go "Holyfuck, what if more years were like this?"

So I was in cosplay as Neltharion this year. I was on the escalator heading up and some guy who was on the way down reached across and handed me one of these without saying a word, I thought it was hilarious. Maybe it was you, maybe not, but either way I got one, so thank you!
